<![CDATA[Hi there, I’m a vintage red Pashely Picador bicycle from the mid-eighties. I was hand made in England (Stratford-upon-Avon to be precise) by the country’s longest established cycle manufacturer. I don’t know how I made it all the way to Montreal, Canada, but I’m here and ready to cycle the streets! I was purchased by a woman who lived in the Plateau and was the perfect bike for the neighbourhood for shopping and generally touring around, but she has moved to Pointe-Claire and finds the distances a little to tough too manage with my retro 3-gear system as she lives a lot farther from shops and her work. My brake system is pretty cool too…a little like a motorcycle. My saddle is leather and was made in Holland, the pedals in Japan and the tires in France…actually there’s no “made in China on me.” New I would cost around $1300, and I have been sold for half that used. Made with Columbus tubing of an unknown model, this bike's frame measures 60.5cm center to top, 59cm center to center, and 58cm center to center on the top tube. 700c Mavic black anodized double wall clincher rims, old school Shimano 600 crank, Modolo brakes, Cinelli handlebars, Italian leather/suede covered saddle, and Camapgnolo style pedals. The frame has a very long horizontal dropout and is set up as a freewheeling single speed right now. I would be very suitable and be an easy conversion to make this a fixie just by changing the rear hub (and spokes). The long horizontal dropout could also handle a flip-flop hub with a moderate difference in gear ratios. The frame is straight and there are no signs of crashes such as bulges, paint chips or wrinkles in the tubes. It could look a little bit prettier but then again it's ment to be used and not to sit on a shelf. Use it for a winter bike. Or not. Questions? Other wise it is a SuperSport , nice Peugeot Crankset, brakes , deraileurs all peugeot, Wheels are true and in great shape. Now thats all the good stuff!!! on the flip side, there are a few scratches , tiny bit of surface rust here and there. is in need of a good detailing.
