Candidates will need to be available for 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon on weekends and 1 hour in either the morning or afternoon on weekdays.

Responsibilities:
<br>
Plan, organize and control all activities related to hygiene and health care, provide nursing care and manage department’s human, financial and technical resources

Control and supervise all work done by nurses, nursing assistants and nurses’ aides, see to it that tasks are given to those of appropriate competency, make schedules, and occasionally evaluate the work performance of said personnel.

Analyze and evaluate nursing care in general, and nursing care to be given to the residents based on their individual profiles, supervise the carrying out of care, and make sure that care is of high quality and of proper duration; review complaints, develop solutions and make suggestions to Management

Supervise the application of personal and environmental hygiene standards, and advise all those involved in order to ensure that standards are met.

Make sure that the human resources management of the department remains in conformity to all policies, collective agreements, standards or laws related to hires, promotions, leaves, overtime, disciplinary measures, training and remuneration.

Supervise the coordination of activities between health departments and government organizations such as hospitals, CLSCs, related ministries, etc., so that all necessary services pertaining to the well-being and care of residents are carried out.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or Diploma of Collegial Studies in Nursing

Member of the Order of Nurses of Quebec

5 to 10 years of experience in geriatrics, including 2 to 3 years of management experience
