Many of my emails are crafters who do not have work available at the moment and that is completely fine. I will take your work when you are ready but right now I need people for this weekend for another project. Please only respond to this email if you have alot of work available, have a folding table and chair, and want to set up at our shop for FREE for this Saturday and Sunday. We are wanting to host an small crafts event in our store and are looking for 5 or 6 people who are trying to sell their items. You can even set up and demo your items for people or work on new items. Whatever you would like to do as long as you can have a table filled. There is NO charge for this and you can even leave the items in the store for the night so you do not have to setup all over again if you prefer. We are trying to get this ladies boutique ready for a great opening and would love to share in the fun with you crafters. And have all the customers see your wonderful treasures!!! <![CDATA[hello filmmakers.... i wanted to ask those of you regular readers if you would be interested in a project i am working on. i am creating a new website that is geared specifically towards indie filmmakers. i am looking to have a site where indie filmmakers can search for INDEPENDENT music by genre, theme, instrumentation, etc. i am wanting input from filmmakers on whether or not they would use a site like this. there is a very small handful of sites out there now that are trying to do things similar to this, but none quite meet the expectations that we think they should. we are partnered up with a great local studio/post-house and publishing company currently, so we will have the ability to do "in house" edits for filmmakers, which is also something most of the sites don't offer. what kind of features would you like to see a site like this have? when you search for music for use in your films, how do you currently do that? we do not charge the filmmakers anything for listening and auditioning indie music. so you have a free resource for finding new material. if, and only if, they choose to use the music in a project would the filmmakers then pay for use of songs. so that's the general idea.... please feel free to shoot back some feedback on this. i would really like to get a filmmaker's perspective on whether or not you would be interested in using and working with a company/website that offers film placement services, that don't have an annual membership or signup fee. you pay zero to use it, unless you decide you want to actually use a song in your film. any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated! thanks for your time, especially to you regulars here. feel free to respond to this add via the e-mail link.]]>

We all know how hard it can be to break into a gallery, so I thought I would try using the craigslist approach. The majority of my pieces are music inspired. As far as media, I use oils with hints of acrylic in my work. I am very heavy with a palette knife and I love working on large pieces. Because of the thickness of paint, it can take months for these painting to dry and/or be completed. Below you will see 3 examples of my work though I have more pieces in the works. After the deadline, there will be no exceptions.* All videos that are submitted will be screened April 2nd (the opening reception) at the Watkins College of Art & Design's main theater at 6pm. This screening is open to the public, and we encourage you to spread the word and invite everyone you know to submit and attend. There will be a first place winner and a second place winner who will receive a cash award (the amount depends on how many submissions there are, and will be posted after the deadline for the call for entries). In addition, there will be five honorable mentions who will receive a surprise as well. Last but not least, there will be three secret judges who will view the entries and award the winners.
