<![CDATA[Try reading through some of the posts before you rant. This is the most well written one yet it seems you've all missed it. I'm sorry to have to inform you that in the music and entertainment business, age preference is legal, and anyone is allowed to discuss an age range or preference for sex, race, and other factors not legal in other areas of work. Anything that falls under "casting" can't be construed as "discrimination". People investing money in entertainment and art have a right to pick and choose from any set of criteria. For women in particular, this is a reality to face early on, since few women will ever break in regardless of talent. Appearance and age usually set the first level of criteria. Men hoping to be an "artist" in Country music will also generally have to be young and very attractive. The Country music business in particular, as well as most of the music and entertainment business, is mostly men, and younger women. The only way a female will break through as an artist is to record independently and prove a demand. Otherwise it's nearly impossible to break in based solely on talent. Nashville is full of incredibly gifted female singers and writers that will always take second place to better looking younger females with a higher level of conventional beauty. Look at Sarah Evans for instance. Incredible beauty, incredible voice. When you consider just how talented many of the younger beautiful women are, the reality is daunting. You face it or move on. And in other areas of work and life, discrimination will always be a reality. It is very difficult to prove discrimination in such a competitive over populated society. The fact of the matter is there are usually at least 50 people available and qualified for any one job or opportunity. Reverse discrimination in race and sex is a reality as well. Look at our new president. Do you honestly think there wasn't a women or other men of various races and ages that were equally if not more qualified? Life also has an element of luck and timing. That is why "failure" in America is no shame. You can't qualify someone who has "failed" to "make it" in the music business as loser who didn't have what it takes. Hundreds have what it takes, but only one can get the shot. Maybe some of you could show a bit more compassion and understanding knowing that. Life just isn't fair. It's sad but thats life on this earth. ]]>

<![CDATA[Daisy is the sweetest dog you will ever meet! She LOVES people and will lick you to death if you let her. She is great with kids, though would need to be watched around small children because of her size. She likes to jump. She weighs approx 45 pounds (weighed 43 last trip to the vet). Daisy will be 9 months 12/1. She is white with brown spots and has beautiful honey colored eyes. She has lived with 3 cats, but she does like to chase them if they run. If they have the courage and will let her smell them, she just smells and walks away. But if they run, she likes to run too! Daisy loves ball and frisbee and loves to run! She would love to have a fenced yard so she didn't have to go out on the leash all the time. She is housebroken and crate trained. She still chews so she cannot be trusted by herself. She also does not need to be outside by herself cause she will dig to China if you aren't watching! She is an inside dog and deserves a home with lots of love! We are moving to a place that does not allow Pit Bulls or dogs that resemble them so we have to find a new home for our baby. Daisy will come with all of her belongings, including her extra large crate and her bed. She is also spayed and is on heartworm prev. We have all of her vet records that will come with her. We are asking a $100 rehoming fee to make sure she goes to a great home and to help cover some of the cost for her crate and spaying. Daisy's rehoming fee is negotiable. If you don't need the crate, her rehoming fee is $25 for her, her food, treats,toys, clothes, bed, and whatever else she has laying around! She has been spoiled and well taken care of and I want to find a family that will love her as much as we do! If that family had kids or someone to play with her, she would be even happier! ]]>

<![CDATA[We rescued Sadie from our next door neighbors about eight months ago. She was chained with a huge tow chain to a tree and had no food, water or shelter. She was starving.She has since gained all her weight back and is in really good health. She is a pitbull terrier possibly a mix. She's not aggressive at all and is a big baby.She is very sweet and needs a family that has the time to devote to her and spoil her. She is crate trained and so far has not had an accident in the house (we've had her inside 5 times for a couple of hours at a time) She gets along with other dogs but not cats. Needs to be spayed and updated on her shots. I'll be picky as to who she goes home with and will ask several questions about you and your family. <![CDATA[We werent sure if these babies would make it through the night when they came to us, but here they are 5 weeks later and doing great. They still have the occatioanl sneezes/sniffles, but considering the state they were in, I consider them well. They are litter trained, eating solid food and have been around cats of all ages and handled by small children. The orange one, Dinky, is male and VERY loving and always underfoot. The tabby looking out of the house is female, Mona, and is spunky with a lot of personality. She gets very excited when you pet her and nibbles on your hands trying to show love. The other tabby on top of the cat house, Curly, is sweet and will be held but is very standoffish and kind of the loner of the 3. They deserve great homes after all they have been through.]]>

I have recently gotten married, and my husband and I can no longer keep her. Her name is Kale, she is around eight years old,and she is house-trained, spayed, VERY good with children of any age, obeys simple commands, still has plenty of spunk and play but knows how to be calm, and needs a lot of loving! She comes with her collar, leash, food and water bowls, brush, and small pillow bed. Kale would be perfect for a family with small children wanting to ease into dog owning and don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a new puppy and dog-training classes. All I ask is for a family wanting to love a sweet dog and give her the time and attention she needs-no charge or adoption fee. Their inside dog would not tolerate her and they couldnt stand her sleeping in a box on the porch with the weather turning bad and the pound wasnt even an option. She needs vaccines since records unknown and she needs to be spayed. I would be willing to pay for appointment here in Murfresboro and take her if new owner wants to pick her up. His disabilities include Cerebral Palsy (CP), Mental Retardation (MR), Autistic Tendencies including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and behavioral issues. He is doing great at school, thanks to constant supervision, a consistent behavior plan, a set routine and a very capable teacher and wonderful assistants. At home, it’s another story! Hence, we have found that things go better at home if we provide one-on-one supervision for our son whenever possible. We have a great caregiver for our son that helps us on M, T, W and F afternoons, but we need some additional help for him. Specifically we are looking for someone who could help with our son on Thursdays afterschool (from 3-7); this could include taking him to Saddle Up! It also could include occasionally helping with his triplet brother and sister while I take our son to Saddle Up! Also, we could use help with our son or all 3 kids on Saturday evenings – maybe not every Saturday evening, but a couple of them a month. I am looking for someone who drives, is responsible, is confident, is calm, is willing and interested in being trained to implement a behavior plan and has a heart for special needs kids! Going back to the original text by Mr. Dickens, this production is presented in a story theatre fashion on an impressive six level stage. It brings you the voice of Charles Dickens. Most people are familiar with this story, but few have actually read the book. <![CDATA[So my neighbors moved and left their 8lb chihuahua mix with my roommate and I. I knew nothing about her except that she was skittish and most likely abused. She went into heat and despite our best efforts, she became pregnant by my male chi mix. She had her babies on Nov. 14th. She had four and had absolutely no problems. She acted like it was the easiest thing in the world. They are perfectly healthy and growing the way they should, but just last night I noticed that the mother was spot bleeding a little. It was mostly discharge with some dried blood in it, but some of it looked fresh. I am worried. She stopped bleeding a few hours after giving birth, but now there is this. She doesn't seem to be in any pain and isn't acting any different. Should I be worried or is this normal?? ]]>

<![CDATA[In April of this year our family decided to adopt a stray aussie that showed up on our doorstep. After 3 weeks of not finding his owners we decided to adopt him as our own. He has graduated from two training courses at Pet Smart, received a good bill of health, neutered and vaccinated. Within the past two weeks he has not been agreeable with our two year old playing near him. He has not bitten but he could not go to a home that has children or have children visit frequently. He has had a history of some type of abuse and/or neglect and would need an educated and proactive dog owner to continue to rehabilitate him. He is genuinely a sweet, submissive baby who prefers snuggling on the couch. He does enjoy running in the backyard and going for walks. He has always been extremely friendly and submissive with meeting new people and dogs. The qualified candidate must have no children. A fenced back yard and a place to keep his crate indoors/garage for extreme weather conditions. He truly prefers to be indoors. I would also prefer no other dogs just to not complicate any other issues or stresses he may have. We have no other dogs and I think he would do best alone.
