WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BEING A PART-TIME TEACHER AT HUNTINGTON?
Our teachers work on an individual or one-to-one basis, thereby helping students achieve tremendous progress in a relatively short period of time. As our students improve skills, they improve their confidence and motivation. They find that learning can be fun, and that they can do better in school. Additional benefits include:

* Training: We offer continual training that even experienced teachers appreciate. Huntington skills and techniques can be transferred to your classroom, as well as to home for use with your own children. Become a more effective teacher as you enhance your present skills and develop new ones.

* Students: Work with a variety of students at all grade levels on an individual or one-to-one basis. As you track students daily progress, you will see marked improvement in their skills, confidence, and motivation. There are no discipline problems, so you concentrate on the academics. Since full-time staff conduct all parent discussions, you have no interaction with parents.

* Year-round flexible hours: Our after-school and summer hours adapt to your changing schedule. Since no preparation is needed beforehand, it's an ideal after-school job that's even better than tutoring on your own.

* Great experience: Whether this is your first job, or you're returning to work after an extended absence, teaching at Huntington is an excellent way to ease into the teaching profession and develop a reference that future employers respect. This opportunity offers experiences that are not available in the classroom.
*Of course, the most important benefit is that you can make a difference in a student's life.

Ask for Ms.Medaries | I am moving to Lewisburg for a new job opportunity and seeing as I am returning to work, I need a sitter. I have a 7 month old son. Donovan is a lovely and very content baby, not your average child. He self-soothes and he is low maintenence. He has very basic needs and follows a schedule. I will only require your services for 2 hours each day, monday through friday. These hours may be subject to change, but you will be compensated. Hours will be between 3 and 5 pm. Monday through Friday. I will require that you sit with Donovan in my home, as he is very accustomed to his own things and familar surroundings. I will require that you pass a criminal background check (non-negotiable) also, that you are/remain drug and alcohol free (also non-negotiable) at all times while alone in my home with my son. I would prefer that you have at least one reference or a letter of recomendation (if you are still school age, college is encluded) this can be from a teacher, employer etc, to be used for the sole purpose of evaluating your character. Male and female sitters are urged to contact me as I am comfortable with both. I will insist on providing you with brief instructions as to how to administer CPR to an infant, (adult and infant CPR are to very different things) should something happen. Donovan has no special needs and is in perfect health. Having experience with using cloth diapers will serve you well, as I do not use disposable/conventional diapers. I do not mean to sound neurotic or pickey, but he is my only child and he is the only thing in this world that matters to me, and having to leave him with a complete stranger for only 2 hours a day is very defficult. I ask that you be at least 16 (sixteen) years old with a valid driver's license. If you are under 18 (eighteen) I will require that you have written permission from your parents/legal guardians. I do not have many restrictions, my only concern is to have my son cared for completely while I am not available. I will ask that you not smoke inside my home, outside is acceptable. Visitors/friends are not an issue, unless they become one. I ask that you be mature about the situation, after all, this is your work place and it must be treated as such. This position will better serve you if you are looking to make some extra money after school or work, or if you just love kids. If you are interested, please email me and I will be more than happy to give you more exact dates as to when you should be able to start. Thank you so much for your time. My cell phone number is (615) 498-1383 and my Home number is (615) 809-2233 just ask for Pam, thank you. Or you can always email me at pamelalovencoleman@yahoo.com

Youth Soccer Instructors Needed for Children Ages 3-6

Soccer Shots is a program that introduces soccer to children ages 3-6 at preschools and day care centers all over the area. We are currently expanding and need a few great instructors to help us run some sessions at a few of our centers.

This is a part time and seasonal position and can be somewhat flexible, depending on your schedule.

The classes are during the week, typically in the morning before 11:00 or in the afternoon after 2:30. Each class is 30 to 40 minutes long. We provide training, equipment, and all curriculum materials. We pay $15-$20 for each session you run. At some centers, there will be multiple classes, meaning you could run 2 or even 3 classes in a row. This would double or triple your pay.

The ideal instructor meets the following criteria:

Responsible – arrives on time to each session, can handle a group of 10 or more children, keeps accurate attendance, communicates well with Soccer Shots director, etc.

Professional – neat in appearance, friendly and courteous with day care center staff and director, self assured

Enthusiastic – Must enjoy young kids, be able to connect with kids ages 3-6, must make the Soccer Shots class the best 30 minutes of their week, etc.

Soccer – no official soccer experience is required. However, having some familiarity with the game either as a player or coach will be helpful

In addition to the above, a successful candidate must pass a Child Abuse History Clearance and Background Check.

We are currently seeking applicants for our upcoming spring season. If you meet the criteria listed above and have further interest in a position, please email us with your information and related experience or attach a resume.
