I am willing to pay up to $300 totally for the room, but I would like to only pay $250 because I am trying to save up money to move back to Florida and I also have other bills that I do currently pay. I am willing to do house work, dishes, and some yard work to further pay for the room. I just don't other's laundry. I also cook really really well. I use my own laundry detergent and shampoo, etc. What is the reason I moved from Florida up to Tennessee? Well, I met a guy in Florida that moved up to Tennessee. After a few months of talking to him, I moved up here too. Stupid, right? Well, we dated for about 4 or 5 months before we broke up. At the current moment, I am still living at the ex's house, but I can not stay there during the time I save up to move back to Florida. Our ideal house is a great old Victorian with 12-foot ceilings and hardwood floors, or maybe a giant loft with an airy feeling, something interesting with a good feeling and light, with at least three bedrooms and two baths. And outdoor space, there has to be some kind of comfortable green private outdoor space. Also important is that it's in a real neighborhood where we can walk to coffee, a chill bar, live music, a nice restaurant, and some kind of shopping. We currently live in East Nashville in 5 Points, which is all of that, and we love it here, but haven't yet found the right place, and we think 12 South and parts of Vandy look interesting, too. <![CDATA[Hello! My name is Josh Greene and I will be moving to the Nashville area around the 2nd of April to begin work in the music industry. I am looking for a housing situation with people I can trust and hang out with on occasion. Not in a clingy way, I just like to enjoy the company of my house-mates. I would prefer to live near West End and Music Row, although anywhere within relative proximity to downtown would be fantastic. In terms of rent, I would like to stay around 450 a month, however this is also negotiable. I have no pets, although I am allergic to cats. Dogs are great, hypoallergenic or not, but unfortunately cats make my throat swell up... I would like to find something that is month-to-month as I am not sure how long I will be in Nashville however, I might be open to a 6-month lease or some similar agreement. I certainly plan on being in TN for at least a few years, but you never know what life will throw your way when starting a career. I was born and raised in Northern CO, and am consequently a huge fan of the outdoors. Mostly I like hiking, cycling, backpacking and rock climbing, although I am open to anything having to do with the great outdoors. I consider myself to pretty laid back, especially when it comes to my living situation. I do like a clean house, and would like it if my room mate(s) did their job to help keep the common areas clean, but it's not going to bother me if things get messy from time to time. I love to cook, and don't mind cooking for other people on occasion. I am a buddhist (primarily Zen and Tibetan) but am extremely open minded when it comes to others beliefs and values. I am also a vegetarian but don't mind in the slightest if you prepare and/or eat meat around the house. I don't drink a whole lot myself but do enjoy the occasional beer or glass of wine. I am not a big party person, so I would rather not live in a big party house, although once in a while is alright with me. I am a musician to the core, and love both listening to and playing music. I play mostly Irish fiddle and acoustic guitar, although I dabble in other instruments when creativity dictates. I think it would be great to live with some fellow musicians, make some music in our free time. For those who aren't musicians though, I do my best to be respectful of the quiet space of others when it comes to practicing and playing. To be honest, I probably won't be around a whole lot for the first few months, but would really like a mellow place to spend my rare free time. <![CDATA[My current roomate is moving away to grad school and our lease is up on June 1st. She is an awesome roomate and a pleasure to live with, so now Im kinda spoiled and am looking for the same. I would prefer to live close to town; be it sylvan park, belmont, 12th south, west end, berry hill, green hills, or even east nashville if it is close to downtown. I do not wish to pay more than $475 total for all living expenses including utilities (right now I only pay $400 bucks a month total, but I realize moving closer to town cost a bit extra...) I am flexible on the location, but it must be a good deal if it is farther out. I am also willing to trade a bit of housework/babysitting in exchange for decrease in rent. If you have a room available and no furniture, this would work out perfect for you because I have living room and dining room furniture, as well as cooking needs from my current apartment. If you already have these things, then I would not mind storing them. I am very reliable, respectful, and peaceful...And I currently work full time as a floor manager of a local retail store.
