<![CDATA[Mechanically restored project bike, lots of money, blood sweat and tears invested. The engine has only about 3 hours of break-in since being rebuilt with new pistons and top end, new clutch, rebuilt starter and carbs. New Old Stock parts on the bike include air filters, kickstart gear, mirrors, grips and cables. New aftermarket parts include brake shoes, rear tire, battery. The good: runs perfectly, zero time engine, get on and ride, gas tank freshly painted, 'lipped' saddle, all trim no tears at all, has the low bars, new grips and mirrors, mechanically perfect. The bad: not a full frame-off restoration, the handlebars have pitting, the steering damper knob is chipped, one of the silencers is scuffed from being laid down at some point (not by me). Great for someone who wants a vintage bike to ride around town, you'll get a million looks/ questions. Or perhaps someone who wants one that's nearly done to buff and shine into a show winner. Two years ago I changed out the points for an electronic ignition and changed the coils. The battery holds a good charge and it starts easy. I didn't winterize it because I ride during the winter, so it's ready to go. It is time to change the oil, and it may need tires by the end of the summer. <![CDATA[Bike has under 5k miles, I think around 4800. It is kickstart only and runs and shifts great. I have only put around 400 miles on it since buying it myself, but decided on a KLR650 instead. Got it from my buddy who bought it in mid 2008 and put less than 100 miles on it. It sat for about a year. I changed the plug and oil, and have been driving it here and there. Sometimes it takes 5-10 kicks to get it to start, but that is in the winter with it sitting for 2 to 3 week intervals without starting. During the warmer months and with regular riding im sure it will start up sooner. Once warmed up it will start the first kick every time. As far as condition it does have a small dent in tank. Tires are at least 80% or better. Anything else just ask. I will only be available to show the bike on saturday after 12 and sunday. I will consider partial gun/s in trade, thanks 615.483.9976]]>
