<![CDATA[The SPCA of TN under the direction and founder, Celina Weissenborn, IS supporting a known breeder of Doxies (and Chihuahuas, with a friend) in Cheatham County and then placing them up North through the Last Chance Highway show on Animal Planet under the false pretenses that she is "rescuing" these dogs! As a matter of fact, Celina gets about $450 per dog that she adopts up North (some people even offer up to $900 up North for a pure bred)! This is outrageous! I personally know this to be a fact as I was heavily involved with the SPCA of TN until I found out how Celina runs her rescue organization. I actually remember Celina saying (when she found out that Linda Blessing was a breeder and still let her come to public adoption events) that.....quote, "I am not going to allow her at adoption days anymore because we do not need to be involved with supporting breeders." Yet, Linda Blessing-Cartwright is on national t.v. still representing the SPCA of TN (which is also no affiliation, WHATSOEVER, with Ann Marie Lucas or any rescue organization on Animal Planet, such as the Houston SPCA, Miami or NY-which Celina likes people to believe and even tells new fosters this)! She only began fostering for Celina 2 years ago (right before she got re-married), when she had over 30 dogs (mostly Doxies and 8 SPCA foster dogs) at her house in poor sanitary conditions (including poor food nutrition) and feces all over her back deck. As a matter-of-fact, Linda had several Doxie puppies die, even, because she vets them herself! She gave some puppies the wrong dosage of Frontline, de-wormer and shots and they all died! Linda also said, "she breeds them when she knows people want one of her dogs". In another situation, Linda who works in the tax field and is gone most of the day, mistakenly left one of her many adult dogs loose and it attacked and killed other puppies. This is a person whom Celina (knowing all of this about her home situation) STILL let foster for the SPCA of TN anyway! I welcome any other information (kept anonymously, of course) about Celina, the SPCA of TN, Linda Blessing-Cartwright or any other unusual situation or foster for the SPCA of TN over the past 5 years, as I plan to alert the proper authorities about this! Yes, Celina has helped many dogs over the past 5 yrs. that her rescue has been in operation; (as any rescue does) but under what false pretenses? And at what cost to the other dogs that suffered in poor foster situations? Celina does not always "prevent the cruelty to animals" but has over the years sometimes caused it by placing dogs in poor foster homes....in my opinion. In fact, through the eyes of many other local rescues, Celina is NOT a very good rescue and has a poor reputation. Also, she does not represent a single cruelty case in court (but gets taken to court for dog bites, as seen on the news about 6 mos. ago) AND she has no animal control officers on her staff. She tells the numerous people who contact her to call "Metro Animal Control" for any cruelty situation. Her SPCA of TN name, it itself, is very misleading! If anything, she should be forced to change her organization's name for which she does not respresent, whatsoever! Again, this is just my opinion . . . . . please offer any other opinions or straight facts that can be verified. I am sure many unsuspecting fosters (and dogs) under the care of the SPCA of TN would appreciate this, too! Sometimes the amount of bad information about a rescue not only draws negative attention to that rescue and outweighs much of the good they do; but also makes many other wonderful rescues look bad! ]]>

Not to mention, we just found out a couple of months ago that I'm pregnant with twins, and is on strict bed rest. We unfortunately do not have the time for him anymore, and being pregnant I can't clean his litter box(doctor's orders). His name is Roscoe. We got him at a pet store in murfreesboro. He is an amazing ferret. He loves to have freedom to run, and will make you play with him( it's really cute). He has never bitten anyone, but does love bite. He plays with my 23 month old with no problems. He is a marshall ferret (brown and creme colored; pictured below), fixed and descented. He will come with a 4 story ferret nation cage, what food he has left, his toys, litter and pan, hammock, his towels that he likes to sleep in, food bowl and water container, and a travel cage, pretty much everything you need. He is completely spoiled, and we expect anyone who takes him continues that. If you are interested in him there are a few things we will need to discuss. We will need a vet reference, need to do a home visit (to ensure he's going to a good stable home, and not a breeder), make sure you have the time to take care of him and play with him, and be knowledgeable in knowing how to take good care of him. We want him to go to a good home only! We are asking a rehoming fee of $150. Which is way less then we paid for him and all his things. <![CDATA[ If you have a female kitten you should know that they are capable of getting pregnant starting around 4 months of age. This happened to us and I wish someone had educated us about this. We adopted a free kitten from craigslist and we thought we had more time to get her spayed. We were wrong. She became pregnant and had a litter before she was even 6 months old!! It took us forever to find homes for the kittens (nobody wanted them) and we had to keep one. Then, she quickly went into heat again!! Lucky for us, the vet spayed her even though she was pregnant so we avoided another unwanted litter of kittens. Please be aware, if you have a female kitten that they get pregnant real fast. She's in a 20 gallon tank with a coconut she's outgrown but still likes so I leave it and a half log to hide under. There's a heat mat on the bottom of the tank and a temperature bar on the inside, as well as an older heat lamp/light apparatus from my first snake many years ago. I've seen these 2 beagles several times in the last two weeks down the road, but they finally came to my house tonight to eat. They were starving!! We are in the outskirts of several cities: Portland, Crossplains, New Deal, Cottontown It was dark, but both appear to be males and look a lot alike (maybe siblings?) Also--one's stomach has started to sink in and his ribcage is very visible. more days without food and i think we'll be able to count his ribs and much longer than that, well, we all know what he will look like. I'm not sure but I think these dogs were the same ones I seen months and months ago. I thought maybe they were local because I've seen them several different times for a couple days each, then they are gone again for several months, then I would see them again. These could be a totally different pair though. Even if these are not your dogs, do you know anyone who is missing theirs? If not, do you know anyone at all that can care for them until the owners are found? I have a 120lb GSD that is very territorial and does not like other animals. I can not keep them here safely. I had to feed them close to the road to keep them hidden from my dog. These two were so so sweet!! so even if their home cannot be found, I think they would make great pets if anyone is interested. I've checked all postings on craigslist and they don't fit any missing posts. I called the local store that post lost/found and nothing matches.
