<![CDATA[I'm a photographer starting a project for a group show around the theme of "confessionals". I'm working through the idea and how I want to shoot it but have a literal place I'd like to begin. I'd like to come to your apartment (this is key in my mind as it will be you in your space, as opposed to a studio) and sit your down in a chair infront of a camera. Over the course of 30 minutes or so I'll ask you a series of questions, random for the most part (actually they might be completely random, generated by a computer program) and as you answer them one by one I'll direct you to remove an item of clothing. You'll be sitting to start but may be standing at some points and sitting at others. By some point you'll be naked. I'll actually be capturing this intital session on video, using a little canon point and shoot. I'm not so interested in the video, rather taking stills from it to figure out if my ideas work or not. The final project will be shot on film and in black and white. I'm still undecided if I'll use medium format or 35mm film with a motion camera and take stills from the 35mm. I want to test it digitally first before I invest in the equipment. I know this isn't for everyone and maybe me asking to shoot you in your own space seems sketchy. I've already shot a series in this idea in my studio and they didn't give me what I wanted. I can explain more if you wish. Please be female and ideally have worked as a figure model before. For your time, 45mins or so I'll pay $50 for this test shoot. If you have the look and vibe I want we will do more shoots at a better rate. Like i said this is a test and I'm looking for the right model for the piece. I can provide samples if you want and explain anything you might be wondering about. My father, an avid backgammon fan, commisioned an artist to have a 3-tiered dowel backgammon table made for him. He has kept it in excellent condition for 40 years. I was very serious when I said to him, that with some minor finishing and veneering by an appropriate person, this table could easily sell for thousands. A very shrewd, conservative businessman himself, he said " Yeah, absolutely." So you're probably asking why we don't hire someone to refinish it and sell it ourselves? The answer is too much time and energy for a very large piece that has no appropriate space in our home for it once refurbished to its original luster.
