Schwinn De Luxe Twinn Tandem hardly ridden, never having been properly assembled it is undergoing a complete end to end lubrication, cleaning and servicing. This Tandem has nice new 65 PSI tires and is having Stop Flat II tire puncture protection liners installed. Everyone that has seen or rode this comments that it's a blast. It runs on battery power and pedals...the charge is suppose to get 25 miles of riding time, but I think it's less...it's maybe 25 miles if you pedal the whole time, but what fun is that! I pedal to assist on inclines and to pick up speed faster on take off, but other than that I just cruise. I normally ride it from my place in Cobble Hill, over the brooklyn bridge to soho and back home...I also cruise it from my place over and all around Park Slope (which is hilly) on one charge. Pretty good! The bike goes 19 mph at top speed. Might go faster downhill, but I haven't found any good hills in NYC to test it on...it does haul ass across the bridge though (on the down slope). I am selling it for $350. It cost a lot more than that brand new and, really, it's priceless...so you're getting a good deal. Whether you're an adult looking to treat yourself, or looking to make a kid the happiest kid in the world, you aren't going to go wrong here. <![CDATA[Own a piece of American road bike history: the Quantum Race is one of the most famous production bikes produced in Chehalis, WA (before the factory moved to Waterloo Wisconsin). This road bike is a 1999 model (stamped 0599 on the bottom bracket) with a WTUxxxxxxxR serial number making it a Quantum Race stock bike. The bike features a beautiful two-tone silver/white paint job. Klein (owned by Trek since 1995) no longer makes road bikes but still (I think) makes mountain bikes.
