Thank you in advance. About me; I recently moved in and my short term sublet is expiring. I am searching for a new place to stay on a longer-term basis. I'm not sure how to describe myself exactly, but I guess I am more or less "normal". I went to school in Boston and lived on Long Island before that. I have a stable job working in technology at one of the major financial firms. I have been working there for a year and a half now. I am financially stable so you don't need to worry about me paying rent ( I have enough to cover 6-12 months of rent already saved ). I work 9-7 M-F, but like going out at least once during the week... usually for wings and a few beers. In general I try to keep the week pretty low key, focusing on some side projects when I can. I like going out to bars and gatherings on the weekends and just generally looking to meet new people in the city. If I moved in with roommates, they wouldn't need to be my new best friends, but I am looking for something where everyone can be sociable in the apartment at least. Even though I hate politics I will say I am more of a liberal because I think it’s usually easier to live with people with similar ideologies... that being said, I try my best to get along with everyone no matter what they are like, as long as they are respectful. I keep things fairly clean ( not a neat freak though) and I am usually very conscious about keeping the people I live with happy ( I, unlike some of my previous roommates, can resist the urge to pee places other than the bathroom ). <![CDATA[SITUATION: In short, lived in NY for 3 years (06-09) loved it. Had an opportunity to move out to LA, so took it. Been here for 5 months and due to a few setbacks (which I now know all happened to make me realize what i really want), I am planning on moving back to NY in April. I had a place to stay with a friend, who then had to take in some family members for a couple of months and no longer can house another person. So my "situation" is that i do not have a job, which as you probably know is nearly impossible to find an apt. Catch-22-it to not be able to find a job without living in New York. So that's my current situation. I have no doubt that i would be able to find a job. I moved to LA and got an interview the first week and the job within the first month. I know that I can do the same back in NY as I did in 09. I'm ready to make NY my home. Well about me: I'm a 27 year old male. I'm a really easy-going guy. I maintain a positive attitude, get a long with almost everyone. Like to laugh, be sarcastic, listen to music, read, write, graphic design, paint, walk down the sidewalks of ny, people watch, enjoy a glass of wine and go out with friends. I work in Marketing and work hard. I was never really in my apartment all that much when i lived there and would expect the same as i've been missing it and would probably be out most of the time given the weather (which should be nice by April) The Rest: when it comes to the rent, i have no problem paying a deposit and a month of rent...if not more, but we'll talk about that.
