<![CDATA[Found Bag w/guitar FX & Cables on subway A coworker, who knows that I'm a musician, recently gave me a bag which had found abandoned on a subway platform. He attempted turning it in to the subway clerk, who refused to assist him, Rather, he was advised to bring the bag to the "official" MTA Lost & Found unit at Penn Station. Unfortunately, given the constraints of his work schedule & the limited operating hours of the unit, it was impossible for him to do so. He posted flyers around the subway station for several weeks afterward, but said that he got no credible responses. As a working musician who's lost items (drunk after a gig) or had things stolen over the years, I know how devastating such a loss can be. Although I paid a certain amount to my coworker for these items as a gesture of appreciation, and will certainly happily utilize much of the gear in the meantime, my sincere wish and sole intention is to return everything to its' rightful owner, if possible. I'm not looking to profit from this scenario and will NOT accept offers for the contents of the bag from other parties, nor will I describe the contents of the bag to anyone. However, I'm not simply going to turn everything in to the MTA, for I KNOW from past experiences with their Lost & Found division that valuable items have a way of "disappearing." If you've lost such a bag over the past few months, write back with a PRECISE description of when & where you lost the bag, and describe IN DETAIL the contents of the bag.
