In central Rome I have a charming, tastefully furnished, spacious sunny apt.: a large (very large!) one bedroom: comfortable, large, and sunny master bedroom + sunny living room (w/couch) + eat-in kitchen, on a first floor with elevator, plasma tv, air cond., cable tv/national and international channels. The apt. faces the river Tiber (ancient Rome's river); it's a 10 minute Tram or Bus ride to the historical center and all main roman monuments (the San Peter's Cathedral, the Sistin Chapel, the Colosseo, and more) and a 10 minute tram or bus ride to our Rome's most central square "Piazza del Popolo"; only 5 minutes (walking distance) to the "Auditorium" (our Rome's "Lincoln Center"!): concerts, bookstore, restaurant, etc. Theater, stores, deli/grocery, "mercato" (open market/fresh-organic food by producers), restaurants, public transportation (taxis, buses and tram) - all in my neighborhood.
