We will be in France for about six weeks between mid-March and late April; our dates are somewhat flexible, and we would be willing to swap for a shorter period (but at least 2 weeks). Our apartment is at Waterside Plaza, which is a beautiful, safe, self-contained family community a close walk from the Gramercy Park, East Village, Murray Hill and Midtown neighborhoods. Waterside Plaza has an on-side grocery store, health club, pool, playground, and many other amenities. The apartment has 3 bedrooms, two with queen-sized beds and one with a crib and fold-out single bed. There is a newly renovated kitchen, 2 bathrooms, separate dining and living areas, and fabulous, unobstructed, high-floor city and water views (including of downtown and the Williamsburg, Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges). Our furniture is modern and child-friendly. We will be travelling with our 2 children, ages 6 and 2, and would prefer to stay in the 3e,4e,11e or 12e arrondissements. I would also love to see the sights of all the Christmas lights/window displays during this season. This has always been a Rockefeller Center/Plaza dream of mine. My fiancé and I can take a train to Manhattan, then the metro and basically walk or take the metro in NY to wherever we need. We might need some guidance to the theatre and some advice/tips about the rink (such as the hours of when it is open, can we rent skates, etc.). We are a very clean responsible couple. In exchange, we will share our house and offer one room and/or or the basement area for the Inauguration for a long week-end or basic week-end. We are smokers so our house might smell like smoke, but we will make every effort to alleviate any smoke odors before you come. Also, if you are non smokers we will respect this and not smoke in your residence or in our house during your visit. We also have two older cats. However, our house does not smell like pets. They are older cats and keep to themselves. As a bonus my finance is a great cook and we will offer you two to three meals a day (plus snacks in between). There is a train that will take you to DC then to the metro which will take you to basically anywhere you want in the DC area (or if you offer us a copy of your driving record and all is well, we will let you use one of our vehicles.)
