My roommate and I are going to Austin, TX for the sxsw music festival and our home will be sad & lonely. Brownstone apartment on Greene Ave. in Brooklyn in Bedford-Stuvyesant neighborhood, close to Ft. Greene. Very friendly and tree-lined block...plenty of families, laundromat & bodegas on the corners. Small cafe with delicious goodies & coffee down the street and a 3 minute walk to the subway. (Bedford-Nostrand - G train) (Just under 30 minutes to Union Square, 8 more minutes to Times Square...15 minutes to Williamsburg, etc.) Prospect Park is less than 2 miles away and it's supposed to be a sunny few days!

Your temporary abode: Rooftop access via a small fire-escape balcony out from the living room. Dark wood floors, 1 bedroom & queen size bed with fresh sheets, bathroom with a fresh towel, clean shower & toilet complete with skylight. In the case that there are 3 guests, third guest would need to be ok with sleeping on the couch in the living room. Our place is not super fancy but we do keep it very tidy & clean and ask that everything is left as it was. Take out what you bring in...clean what you mess. We are on the third floor, with families in the building and so there needs to be an understanding of respect for others.

"Alan's place is great, we really enjoyed our stay. He is a very friendly host and does a good job of making you feel welcome. We stayed two nights in a comfortable bed in a room with plenty of space, and the bathroom was clean and newer. I forgot my towel but Alan already had some available.
