<![CDATA[JOB TITLE: Registered Nurse – IVF Coordinator GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: IVF Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operation and activities related to patient in-vitro fertilization including the patient cycle communication and coordination, scheduling of patients, patient’s readiness, staff availability, and any other pertinent information relating to IVF cycle. Functions as primary liaison between IVF patients, staff and physicians. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to Nurse Practitioner SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Maintain accurate and timely contact with patients regarding their management including all testing results, embryo updates, number of cyro-preserved embryos, scheduling of all testing and procedures and post cycle support. 2. Coordinate patient fertility treatment cycle including updating flow sheet, completion of appropriate pre-cycle testing, daily retrieval of laboratory results, and assuring all necessary patient medications in advance of treatment cycle. 3. Communicate with patient Ob/Gyn with updates on completed IVF cycles. 4. Prepares medical charts and obtains test and laboratory results. 5. Schedules patients for laboratory tests, medical examinations, and consultations. 6. Communicates information to patients regarding preparation for and results of laboratory tests and examinations. 7. Assures continued follow-up with all patients expressing interest in IVF. 8. Reviews all ongoing treatment blood work with physician on daily basis. 9. Maintains patient confidentiality/HIPAA compliance. 10. Utilizes automated records and charting systems to retrieve patient information. 11. Maintains and submits required SART reporting data. 12. Return all patient phone calls promptly. 13. Coordinate a patients fertility treatment cycle, including an up to date flow sheet, completion of appropriate pre-cycle testing, daily retrieval or appropriate lab, and assuring all necessary patient medications in advance of a treatment cycle. 14. Support and comfort a patient and their family at all times, especially during a procedure. 15. Completes all other duties that may be assigned from time to time. The job holder must demonstrate competencies applicable to job position. EDUCATION: RN degree, BSN preferred. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one year professional nursing experience, clinic experience preferred. REQUIREMENTS: State RN license. KNOWLEDGE: 1. Knowledge of professional nursing theory, regulations and practices to give and evaluate patient care. 2. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish/maintain a safe work environment. SKILLS: 1. Skill in applying and modifying the principles, methods and techniques of professional nursing to provide ongoing patient care. 2. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions. 3. Skill in preparing/maintaining records, writing reports and responding to correspondence. ABILITIES: 1. Ability to maintain quality control standards. 2. We also want a companion to do have some fun with and to motivate her. She loves to talk, read the Bible, talk about the grandkids, take part in domestic projects(cooking, crafty stuff), visit pet stores, domestic stores and library and loves companionship and conversation!
