<![CDATA[Still not giving up on finding Lovey, who has been missing for nearly 3 weeks. She is about a year and a half old, short haired dark tabby, spayed, PAWS microchip, no collar, small ,with big round eyes. Escaped unnoticed Sunday night, 11/2. No outdoor experience and very timid. Very gentle normally, but afraid of loud noises and fast movements. I've done everything I can think of to find her including visiting shelters, vets, groomers, posting many signs, talking to neighbors, walking the neighborhood and using Findtoto.com to generate 750 calls to neighbors, with no leads except a sighting of one tabby which can't be identified because noone sees it long enough or can catch it, and I never see it when I go to the location. Friends are suggesting someone took her off the street and maybe even out of this neighborhood. I miss her terribly. So does her sister. I can always get another cat, but not another Lovey. The cat is male, unneutered, and had no collar. He has been eating dinner every night along with several ferals I feed for the past two weeks, but because the ferals are mean to him, we decided to bring him in the other night when it got very cold. We think he might be/have been someone's cat because he is definitely social. I think I first saw him in our neighborhood about a month to 1.5 months ago. He has long hair, a fluffy tail and grey, black, brown and white stripes. He seems to be pretty young, maybe 1-2 years, and his whiskers start black at the base and go to white at the tips, which is unusual. He really gulps his food down, and we will be taking him to the vet tomorrow to see if he has a microchip and to get him checked out. A woman named Pat witnessed the accident and accompanied the pedestrian to the hospital. <![CDATA[Driving to work this morning I was on Moyer Boulevard near Colorcon and perched on top of a No Parking sign was a gray cockatiel, it had a full yellow face, it looked like it had some white on his wings and was just sitting there watching cars go by. I pulled over to see if I could get it to come to me and it was just about ready to fly down to me and a car came by and scared it. It flew into the West Point nursery's wooden fence area, but I lost it. Although it was chirpping away. I'm sure that it has tons of places to hide and keep warm in there, but if anyone is missing a cockatiel, you might want to alert the folks there to keep a look ou or post some signs. <![CDATA[PLEASE READ....we are sad and hope to get our baby back!!! My cat Dusk, he’s a little over 1yrs old and an indoor only -- he is nuetered and declawed. I gave my friends our old couches and underneath the big couch there is a hole where Dusk loves to go up and inside to hide. The hole goes in pretty deep and he goes in there when he gets scared. I didn’t think to even check it when we loaded the couches onto the Home Depot truck which came from Upper Darby, PA (on Baltimore Ave). We live in the Newtown Towers in Newtown Square and my friends live in the Radnor House in Bryn Mawr. I think he was lost somewhere along the time that they were delivering the couches to their home or he was still in the truck and he jumped out when it got back to Home Depot? Or he could have jumped out of the truck before they drove off and he could still be around my area? I’m not sure. I’ve registered him with the SPCA in both Delaware County and Montgomery County. He does not have a collar because he refused to wear one when he was younger. He also has a “mole” or extra skin behind his left ear which is a great way to distinguish him from other cats. <![CDATA[Thursday, 13 Nov 2008, myself (active duty Marine) and this other person (who is active duty Air Force) were on the same flight back from Japan which landed in Seattle, WA. Allison Ray accidentally took my luggage without checking to verify that it was her baggage. I am currently 6 months pregnant and have not been able to buy new clothes since she put me out of all my clothing. She called me Friday, 14 November 2008, to let me know that she had my luggage and was going to deliver to either MacGuire AFB or Dover AFB but did not leave a contact number. As of today, I have not recieved my luggage. I am searching for this person and requesting help from anyone that might know her, and ask her to please take my stuff to the airport so I can have all my things that she accidentally took. I have some very precious items in my luggage that cannot be replaced. If she is sorry, then why hasnt she tried to take my luggage to the airport. I am not sure if she has transferred from Japan back to the United States or if she is just home for vacation. <![CDATA[I've been to Pacca 3 times since Lovey ran away. They didn't record her (or her littermates') chips at the time they neutered and chipped them, nor even tell me they were getting chipped, but my vet found the chips and gave me the numbers. When I reported her lost, I made them put her microchip number into her record. I also registered it with 24hr Petwatch. Pacca employees insist that they scan every incoming animal for a chip, ( and the entire animal, since Lovey's chip had migrated to her shoulder area and they are aware of this possiblity), and if they find a chip and it's one of theirs, all my information will immediately display on their computer. If they find an animal with a chip that is from a different organization, they call the registering company (it seems there are several manufacturers and each has an identifiable format). How reliable do you think this process is? I can easily imagine that if the animal comes in so scared that it is mean, they have great difficulty scanning it and would be inclined to give up. Does anyone know anything factual about how good they are about matching chipped animals with owners? jo]]>

<![CDATA[Please check the PETS section and look at the PAWS fosters/URGENT requests for help. A lot of these animals were brought in as strays. Even though you report them missing, you cannot depend on PACCA/SPCA/shelter to recognize your pet. There are just too many surrenders for them to be able to keep track of each lost pet and match them. PLEASE check frequently and ask for help. Tell them that you lost a dog/cat and MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE SOMEONE FROM THE SHELTER TAKE YOU TO ALL THE AREAS including THE SICK ROOMS and look at the postings to see if your baby is there or if your pet was lucky enough to be fostered and a volunteer posted trying to find them a home. This applies to the suburban shelters as well. My dog got out and was at a surburban shelter for a week before they took me through the rooms and I saw her. The shelter workers NEVER made the connection although I had given them a great description (down to the eyelashes)! I was lucky (and so was my dog) that she was pretty and friendly or it might have been too late.]]>

Gray parrot with white mask on face, and red tail, about the size of a pigeon. His name is "BUN." He is 25 years old. His wings are not clipped. He does have a leg band (I.D. band), or at least did have one when he escaped. Talks, laughs, and whistles. Says: "hello, buck-buck Bun, hello girly, big guy, step up, poppy's girl." He whistles the "call/where are you" whistle: WHEO WIT. Sometimes sounds like a child talking. Likes peanuts, parrot seed, oranges, and small pieces of bananas -and understands "nanas" for bananas. Missing since 4/2/08. Recently spotted on Deerpath Road in October, and near Knights Road & Chalfont in Philadelphia in a play ground on 9/4/08. Initially he had been spotted near the river off of State Road and River Road. The bird is timid, and if frightened may bite.
