It is located at Poplar and 22nd Street (about 2 blocks north of the Eastern State Penitentiary) The neighborhood has pretty much everything you need. Bars, restaurants, gym, post office, trendy coffee shops, pizza, ect. Also, there is a Whole Foods within walking distance. The street is a quiet one, just down from the Eastern State Penitentiary. The people in the neighborhood are very nice and respectable, mainly a mix of young people and families. The building is a three-story walkup with the landlords occupying the first two floors. Aside from rent, the only bills are Comcast for the Internet, Peco and PGW. A washer / dryer are available to use. There is room in the front hall for your bike if you have one and there is a Philly Car Share spot right out front if you use that. The building is a short biking distance to Temple or downtown. The apartment itself is a big Ikea / Urban Outfitters nightmare but I guess that's the style these days so it's just as well. There is a lot of sunlight and the place is very clean and roomy. It's pretty well stocked with furniture, dishes, towels, ect. The lease is year-long. A credit check will be required. No dogs please.
