As for the tedious part: I'm a recent college graduate with a degree in philosophy and communication. I decided to live in the city for a year before going for my phd in philosophy. I currently have two jobs: a standard 9-5 and on weekends I wait tables to supplement my income. But no fear, I work hard and in return play hard. Interests? I love rocking out to live music. I listen to anything from 90s alternative, classical, acoustic, "indie," folk, etc. A great cup of coffee (Fair Trade only!) or a fantastic beer (I don't do Coor's products like Blue Moon ... <![CDATA[LOL - I have looked through some of these things and sit here shaking my head. Seriously? Do people really post for an $800 weekly allowance? Wow!!!! I look through these postings and wonder what our society has come to. Why are so many of us here looking for what we are missing in our lives - - - and is what we are missing a new cultural phenomena or are we just getting more demanding as a society? Do we have unrealistic expectations based on what we see in movies and on tv - - - Or maybe it is just that we are taking advantage of the wider net that technology allows us to cast as we search? I read phrases like - "I love candle lit dinners, walks on the beach, holding hands and kissing in public, looking up at the stars, and cuddling under a nice warm fire while sharing a bottle of wine." - and think to myself,, yeah dont we all. But really, what about the real things in life that will make a relationship last? - self respect - honesty - ability to communicate on several levels - physical attraction - intellect - income levels - compassion - sense of humor - charity and what about the mundane activities in life that arent exactly exciting but are necessary: - yard work - cooking - housework - home repairs - kid based activities These are the things I want to know about - - - How much of yourself do you give to your kids? - If you are divorced, can you tell me your ex wife's favorite perfume, color, flower or food? Did you pay attention? - What have you done in the last 12 months for other people? - When is the last time that you gave without expecting anything in return or --- When is the last time you held the door for the person coming out of the store behind you? I am not even sure why I am writing this, except that I look through these things and fail to see how anyone could possibly find what they are looking for here (except the NSA sex ones, those are obvious. LOL). And for the record, for those of you who have bothered to read it through to the end, no I am not ugly or fat. I am absolutely HOT with a body to kill for and the spirit to match it. I am well educated and basically happy with my life. Perhaps though, I am jaded or have set my expectations too high?
