The Energy Auditor will conduct technical studies to evaluate and assess energy conservation measures for commercial and institutional properties. This position will research and evaluate building systems, develop design solutions, implement estimates and recommendations for energy conservation and related projects.

Major Responsibilities & Duties:

Assist in the development of programs to reduce the clients costs for energy. Compile, maintain and file energy reports and recommendations. Identify applicable improvement measures aimed at reducing the customers utility costs, as well as operating and maintenance costs.

Provide support in client meetings and presentations; understand and evaluate energy supply side savings opportunities; assist in the creation of energy conservation plans; and assist in monitoring project performance.

Coordinate and manage the process that ensures timely collection and accurate data collection from utility bills and diagnostic equipment.

Install metering equipment as necessary, and monitor energy diagnostic systems to track energy consumption and building performance.

Maintain positive customer relationships throughout the duration of the contract. Ensure that energy conservation recommendations and programs are supportive of the clients goals and expectations.

Assist in the presentation of training programs that focus on energy conservation, efficient building performance, and energy equipment maintenance.

Provide support as an independent advisor for the implementation of recommendations and programs, including qualified suppliers and service technicians; the outsourcing for more expansive upgrades to controls or systems; and renewable energy systems as needed.

At least two years experience in energy engineering, building controls, HVAC equipment operation, lighting and electrical systems, or related fields.
