<![CDATA[This is an interesting little piece!! All original with new strings on it. Plays out loud/through amplifier. Has a cool finish with a lot of time-worn character to it. Sorry about the camera phone picture... basically, it's a 60's era Fender knock-off that I think looks pretty damn cool! The neck is in good shape too. It doesn't like to stay in tune very well; probably the machine heads doing that, as those are pretty chincy, 6-in-a-row style. I kept this for years with visions of maybe changing the tuners and/or bridge, and going all Tom Morello on it... maybe tossing in different pickups and seeing what kind of trouble I could get into playing it... I don't have the time at the moment, or the money. Worst case scenario: this thing looks pretty damn cool, even just hanging on the wall or whatever. $80 obo and I would also gladly consider all kinds of trades: pedals, small amplifier, a Squier Strat, or even something a little better and a couple of bucks from my end... if you have an interest and any cash/trade, please drop me a line. The Bach 50T3 has a 9 1/2 inch bell, two Thayer valves and the standard brass slide. The bass trombone looks like new with the slide and valve action being as good if not better than a new trombone. I am selling the horn because I recently have switched to Edwards trombones. Although I played Bach trombones for 30 years, some new members of our orchestral section play Edwards and I have found it easier to match my colleagues sounds using Edwards equipment. ]]>

The music therapy program works with ausitic children around Pittsburgh and they need your help. The WSS FCDC CREATIVE Arts Program works to facilitate the development of many therapeutic goals, such as: · encouraging the self-expression of thoughts and feelings · promoting a sense of independence and feelings of control · improving sense of self worth · improving emotional self-regulation · improving self-efficacy · improving the creative process of cause/effect problem-solving in the context of play The Creative Arts Program offers a wide variety of Music Therapy services. The music therapy component is comprised of three different types of services: individual private lessons focused on music, group therapy focused on music and movement and the newly formed rock band concept. The rock band concept is unique because through this group, participants learn to form and interact socially as a group, comprise rules, design a name and logo and function together as a cohesive band. The rock bands aim to build collaborative skills between group members by learning how to present themselves as a group to an audience. Though performances may eventually be part of the band, they are no the purpose or primary focus of the group. Music, as an art form, serves as a way of collaborating and cooperating—not always as communication, but connecting as a group and creating a group identity outside. Creativity is fostered through song writing, web site development or music videos. Band members learn various musical instruments and how to perform in front of an audience. Gigs are set up; the band rehearses; roles are delegated; equipment is distributed and the members tear down and set up. <![CDATA[What I have here is a used, but in great condition Washburn Electric Guitar. As far as older electric Washburns go, this one is a rarity. Very little information on it anywhere, so we took the next step here, opened it up and gave it a setup, restring and play-test. The guitar plays fine, low action and good, clean solid sound. The only issue with this guitar is cosmetic, there is some cracking around the input jack, where it's previous owner tightened the washer too tightly and started to dig into the wood (shown as best as possible in pictures), however it doesn't affect playability whatsoever. The Washburn comes with a fitted hard case (also shown in photos) that for what looks to be a late 70's model case, is in pretty good condition itself. It compliments the guitar quite nicely.
