I am putting together a 2-day short film production latter this coming spring and I am looking for a DP. This is a low budget production, but the position is PAID!!! We will be renting a full 3-ton grip truck with tungsten and HMI packages, track dolly and an 18’ camera crane with remote head. I have a JVC-110U, but I am looking to get a hold of a better camera such as the Panasonic HPX500. What are your thoughts???

The story is a very dark, moody horror/thriller that takes place in one primary interior location and one exterior. There are a lot of short indi “horror” films out there, but most (99.9%) are missing the essentials of what makes a real horror. Just because a film has a “monster” or a “killer”, does not make it a real horror. This script is not totally complete, but it will be roughly 6-8 pages with about 2 of those pages EXT. The shoot will last about 10-12 hours each day and we will provide 2 full meals plus morning refreshments.

To be considered for this position, you MUST meet ALL of the following requirements and submit ALL requested written information.

Requirements:
- Must be familiar with 35mm lens adapters and prime lenses. Please explain your experience and the types you have used.
- Must provide at least 2 examples with of your lighting techniques with a written explanation of your responsibilities for each.
- Please summarize your style, influences and goals.
- Please provide your rate for 2 12-hour days (one weekend). If you have a camera or other equipment you may want to use, please provide the rental rates.

Responsibilities:
- Meet with the director to work out a detailed shot list.
- With a budget we provide, you must find and hire your own crew (AC’s, Gaffer, Grips…)

I know that this is a lot to ask for, but we want to make sure we get the right DP for this job. If you meet the requirements, we will send you more information about us and the film. If you are still interested, we will contact you for an interview.

We have what we believe is an exciting, dynamic script and we are looking for someone who can help put our vision on the screen. We are looking to get someone on board quickly as we are hoping to shoot a promotional trailer for the film soon.

DP must have own camera equipment and be willing to work for a flat rate of $400. if interested, please send resume, equipment info and reel (if possible). | I'm looking for a film crew for a no-budget home improvement series I've concepted that will give virgin homeowners and general non-handy individuals the knowledge they need in order to understand how their house runs as well as make small improvements. I can give you more details about the concept if you're interested.

Given the fact that this is just a concept, the first order of business is to shoot a pilot episode for which I've already developed a rough storyboard. Also, since there is no financial backing or sponsors yet, this is an unpaid gig - a good opportunity for amateurs and college students to try their hand at the craft, or for professionals looking to expand their trade in their spare time. I do not possess any technical equipment, so if you have camera, sound and/or editing software - or access to any of the above - that would be greatly appreciated.

Please contact me if you are interested.

Cheers
