Generally speaking, in addition to an artist or two, the ranch will be shared by a few interns working in the woodlands and on the organic farm where we raise goats, sheep and poultry in addition to the gardens. Residents are expected help out with communal chores for an hour or two each day but otherwise your time is your own to creat what you wish. We are likely to favor artists who are working on the edge; outsiders, urbanists, large format mixed media and environmental creators, edgy sculptors especially. Until now, I've always used regular photos for my avatar, but that's just not good enough anymore: it's time to start establishing a brand for myself. I want a unique portrait, something memorable and iconic which looks good at both large sizes and for tiny 50 x 50 pixel avatars. I also want the portrait to exemplify me and my business, so there may a little brainstorming involved to unearth the ideal portrait. Because I want something really cool and unique, and because I've directed films and photo shoots before, I can guarantee the photographer will be very happy with the final photos. If your work kicks ass, I may even decide to update my portrait more often. :) Ideally, this would only be a half-day's work, but that might depend on location and scheduling. <![CDATA[I am a photo major at Sacramento State and I am in need of models with scars to complete a portfolio. This is an unpaid gig, but I will travel to you. I am shooting with an 8x10 film camera. It's huge and takes about 20 minutes to set up and about 1 minute to complete the shot. I only need one shot per scar. I ask that the scar be at least around 5 inches. What will you get? I will take digital pictures in the same manor, edit them, and give you the digital copies and one print (no larger than 11-14).
