Good job reciting the same meaningless dribble that I hear every 10 minutes.

Ok then, what freedom are the 33,000 troops in Japan protecting at this minute? Are you scared Japan is going to come and bomb us now? They've turned every base into a redlight district and abused their power, and have reports such as raping of a 14 year old girl, and domestic violence, but that's cool, its protecting us from the evil Japan!

How about Europe? Do you think Germany would come and bomb us? Well I guess the 100,000 troops we have in Europe are justified, because you cant let them evil Europeans out to get us. It doesn't really matter that they have held men at gunpoint for insulting their honor, or that they have internal airbases sucking the city's economy dry.

How about the 37,500 troops we have in Korea? It doesn't really matter that young children are becoming love slaves, because it's all for a good cause.

And you know, it's totally justified to just run into someones borders because we think they have nuclear weapons with absolutely no proof, and start snapping necks. We may have killed 1 in every 30 people that live in Iraq, but I'm sure every single one of them deserved it. Each and every one of them was out to get you, and destroy your freedom. If they had the chance, they would grab a row boat and start heading towards our border with a bucktooth knife.

No Saddam was not a good guy. But come on, we told them they had chemical weapons, they denied it, let us search them, and we found nothing. So we started shooting and still haven't found anything to this day. That is our reason for the invasion to the current section of the world.

God bless America, with our slogan, "out of many one". We can step on the faces of a hundred to have one life of "well deserved" freedom.

And yes, I wish things were as simple as love it or leave it, but what you really mean is oppress or be oppressed.

| http://www.whatsupwiththat.biz | First off, how could you say that we don't enjoy ant freedoms because of the military? With out the military, the U.S. would be invaded in a heart beat. So EVERY freedom you have as a U.S. citizen is because of the military. Our Government helps maintain order and freedom within the country, and our military protects our country from people outside the country who would like to take these freedoms we enjoy away. AKA terrorists. Now as far as you not supporting them because they are invading other countries, that is ridiculous. When we invade somewhere else, we do it to to try and grant some of the same liberties that we enjoy. Take Iraq for example. Although I do think that the Bush administration had some ulterior motives motives when they decided to invade Iraq, It doesn't Change the fact that one main motive was to remove Saddam Hussein from power. I don't think that anyone HONESTLY believes that Saddam was a good guy, and by removing him from power we were able to start providing freedom for the Iraq people. Also, I don't think any soldier has ever wanted to go and kill families, but sometimes that's what it takes to get things done. It has to be done for the greater good.

And by the way,

If you don't like our country leave! Go to a place without a good government and military and tell me how you like it there. This country would be better off with out morons like you! | Since you are obviously so opinionated about this subject, then please tell me how the LACK of killing innocent bystanders, thousands of miles away, would change a single freedom I have? USA would still be free, it would still be great, it would still be almighty. How does killing people make a difference?

Are you so brainwashed that you think the only way that you can worship freely, or work where you want to work, is to ram a rifle butt in someone's skull?

WE WOULD BE PERFECTLY FREE WITHOUT INVADING OTHER COUNTRIES.

Obviously, protecting our soil is another matter. But we have never EVER had that happen in our history. We are not protecting anything! We are TAKING everything! We had a miniscule amount of people die, from a almost unnoticeable group of radicals, and we returned it with an onslaught.

EG. You bumped into my car on accident changing lanes on the street. My retaliation is to go to your house, rape your wife, and behead both your children. A typical American retaliation.

I don't support the troops themselves exactly because of what you said. They don't go into homes and kill families because they want to. They go inside homes and kill families because some rich bastards told them to. How is that an excuse?

The only reason that you gave is it makes us a free country. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE explain why? If you cannot answer WHY it makes us free, then you have no right to defend them. And thanks for the threat of violence, a true act of patriotism on your behalf.

I have no clue what people are supporting...

Are we supporting that we would rather lose lives then oil?

Are we supporting that if America is attacked, we will brutally murder 10,000 troops for every 1 they killed of ours?

Are we supporting that if we don’t like a political system, we should assassinate the leaders and take control?

Are we supporting FREEDOM! The freedom to do whatever you want, UNLESS it is a religious belief and we disagree with the morals?

Or are we not supporting the cause at all, and just supporting the people that mindlessly follow what politicians tell them to do, even if it is killing men, women and children [in the name of the USA!]

How do people not get the big picture? Imagine walking downtown, and having a group of men with machine guns start raining bullets through crowds and buildings, or being in the middle of work and having a man walk in and start slashing people with a machete. If this happened in our borders it would be a massacre. Outside our borders it is the fight for freedom!

Support out troops? I spit on them. The many homeless veterans that live in their shit stained clothes eating rotten trash to survive are the ones who got their justice and karma.

I challenge anyone to give a purpose to "support our troops"

America uses 1,400,000,000 gallons of gas a year.
That is 7,000,000,000 over the course of 5 years (since death toll started).
There have been 1,288,426 deaths in the Iraq war in the past 5 years.
That means in the time elapsed for each death, 5433 gallons were used.
Gas has fell ~ 50% since we CONQUERED Iraq.
That means for each 5433 gallons, we can buy 10866 gallons.
The average American uses 500 gallons of gas a year.
That means every 20 years we have used 10,000 gallons of gas.
If we drive for 40 years, we just killed 2 people for the right to use our cars.

Of course, oil will not last for 40 years. But every year is still a fraction of a life.

And I don’t know too much about college politics, but one individual making a judgment call for a few hundred people happens on a daily basis in many similar situations...

I really wasn’t being sarcastic when I said I was missing the point... you’re the one trying to get people rallied up behind something and I was hoping for a just cause, or at least something other then vague descriptions.
| Your missing the point. The point is that a individual IN POWER is pushing his own personal beliefs on the student body as a whole and not even taking into consideration the other views on campus. How would you feel if someone said that who decided how your experience would be? Its against the California Education Code what they are doing also. Oh... Hate speech is not counted under the freedom of speech. Or at the very least shouldnt be.

And I never said the picture itself was innapropriate. The context it was used was however. And they did get punished for it. They were removed from the SA. However, a single person with no input and no reason at all re-instated these individuals. Without ANY merit. His own personal will imposed. Does that sound right to you?

You probably missed a lot. You probably dont understand because you are not going through it. Maybe I should introduce you to the person who was threatened when a member of the SA said he was going to harm their mother because of the activity they were doing on campus. Maybe that person can clarify things for you.

| Anti-Discrimination Demonstration at American River College

After years of receiving complaints, American River College has done nothing to change the discrimination that is being faced by many students. After attending a Board of Justice meeting today it became very clear that nothing was going to change. A student was verbally attacked by a member of the Student Association (student Government) and pleaded with the Board of Justice (a student body made to make sure things such as this are taken care of internally) for help, but they offered none. They could not find a specific statute in the ARC bylaws to bring charges against the SA member. The case was dismissed and the student member of the SA who committed the verbal assault is still on the board with no disciplinary actions taken.

Three students were removed from the SA last semester after passing out campaign literature that had a picture of a transgender student place on them. These members were tried by the BOJ and found guilty and had been dismissed from their duties. With no merit the SA Adviser reinstated these members without any hearing or input from the public. The adviser has also gone against policy and over stepped his bounds on many occasions. One member of the SA is very well documented in making at the very least one quote stating "Homosexuals are masters of making this a civil rights issue when it clearly is not."

When I interviewed members of the SA about these issues, they were very blatant in the fact that they would let their own personal beliefs dictate how they make decisions for the student body as a whole. A ARC student and member of the SA went as far as to state "I only represent the students that voted for me." This was captured by me on tape. Some of the board members are easily recognizable as frequent demonstrators against homosexuality. The board is also heavily influenced by the local Church of the Divide.

A website run by ARC students, http://www.savearc.com/ documents all that has been going on. There is a long track record and plenty of evidence to show discrimination happening on campus, and there is a equally long track record of nothing being done about it.

Myself and students of ARC have got together and drafted a official letter to the Administration of ARC calling for change. We are presenting Administration on Monday at 4 PM with this letter. It will plainly lay out our request. We request a formal hearing, open to the public, to present all evidence of discrimination and to have appropriate actions taken against the violators. Although, much good is not expected to come of it seeing as when I interviewed ARC President Viar, he stated he did not believe ANY discrimination was taking place on campus. When asking the students, the answer could not have been more different.
| Here are some facts:

In the U.S. more than $20 billion is spent each year on psychiatric practice and treatment in the prisons and judicial system, yet the recidivism rate exceeds 60%.

Psychiatrists charge $3,600 to $25,000 for each court appearance in the U.S. They assert that the offenders are not responsible for their acts but are instead victims of mental disorders.

Electric Convulsive Therapy is still in practice in the U.S. 660,000 electroshocks were administered annually in the U.S. and making $5 billion for the psychiatric industry annually. The 2003 U.S. Mental Health Foundation ECT Fact Sheet reports that ECT causes brain damage, memory loss, and disorientation. In 2005 FDA reported patients sustaining severe burns, deaths, and pregnant women suffering miscarriages. The number of American seniors aged 65 who receive electroshock is more than three and a half times that of those aged 64. Why? Government health insurance for senior citizens becomes available at 65, yet it is a well-known fact that with the increase in age, the risk of cardiac arrest increases during ECT.

Ritalin, a commonly prescribed medication for use on children, was classified in 1971 in the same abuse category as morphine, cocaine, and opium. More potent than cocaine, it causes stunted growth, weight loss and psychosis. Suicide is a major complication during withdrawal. It can cause stroke and cardiac arrest.

After heavy lobbying by pharmaceutical interests, by 1991, federal funding of $400 was granted for every child labeled with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in U.S. public schools. There has been a 900% increase in the number of children diagnosed with ADHD and a 665% increase in the production of stimulants to treat it as a result. Today, millions of children are diagnosed with ADHD.

The facts are very clear. The mental health industry in this country is corrupted, greed-motivated, and ineffective.

Psychiatry never has and never will deliver the results it promised because

1. They shy away from teaching traditional values. They do not teach right from wrong probably because they do not know right from wrong. In fact, quoting co-founder of the World Federation of Mental Health, psychiatrist G. Brock Chisholm announced that the key aim of psychiatry is “reinterpretation and eventual eradication of right and wrong.” This tendency to stay away from right and wrong permeate every literature of psychiatry.

2. They shy away from teaching responsibility. The psychiatric system is geared to blame all things on chemical imbalances, genetics, and indefinite childhood experiences. If a person does something wrong, it’s because he has a mental disease; he is prescribed medications, not responsibility. This is another fundamental attitude of the psychiatric profession. And that is why when we take a failing student to a psychiatrist, he does not do better in school (Our education system is failing despite years of psychiatric involvement in our schools), and when we take a criminal to a psychiatrist, he is likely to commit another crime. (Current rate of immates returning to jail is 60%.) Responsibility level was never increased by psychiatric treatments.

3. They are purely profit driven. They make $69 billion annually paid by insurance companies alone. They hire thousands upon thousands of lobbyists to seek governmental protection of their interests and grants. They form financial relationships with drug companies. Yet we find uncaring attendants, unavailable doctors, and psychiatrists who charge hundreds of dollars to insurance companies for just listening to someone for a short interval and then prescribing some medications. They are not there to help people; they are there to make money because there is easy money in this field.

4. They do not keep their noses clean. Probably because of the above points 1-3, the psychiatric industry is filled with fraudulent and criminal activities. A study showed that at least 10% of the 650,000 psychiatrists and psychologists worldwide admit to sexually abusing their patients. A factual review of more than 800 convictions over a six-year period, shows 43% were convicted of fraud, theft and embezzlement; 32% for sex crimes; 7% for patient assault and violent crimes; 6% for drug offenses and 6% for manslaughter and murder. Unethical activities have been part of the picture in the field of psychiatry from its earliest days.

5. They use a system of voting mental illnesses into existence which makes the whole subject ludicrous. Disorders voted into existence included in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), the most authoritative book on officially recognized mental disorders, include “reading disorder,” “disruptive behavior disorder,” “disorder of written expression,” “mathematics disorder,” “caffeine intoxication,” and “nicotine withdrawal disorder”. The increase of mental disorders listed in the book coincides with U.S. government insurance becoming available to the mental health industry in 1968.

Because of these reasons, psychiatry did not make it. These are fundamental flaws. They are embedded in the basic theories of psychiatry itself, and these are what's wrong with the mental health system in this country.

(Detail analysis of the Social Capital is given in my books "Capitalism Today and Capitalism Tomorrow" and "Social Capital and Socialism")

1. What is social capital in terms of private capitalist ownership ?
Under social capital capitalist private ownership is maintained. Before capitalist private ownership existed in the form of private individual capital then in the form of monopolistic capital as dominant form of capitalist production. During the further development of the capitalism, monopolistic capitals will transform themselves into Social capital as dominant form of capitalist production. Under social capital all capitalists cease to be the owner of their stock joint capital and become the co-owner of all private stock capitals, which we call "Social Capital". From this moment on, all stocks in their possession and in the public possession are converted into stocks of the social capital and represent the same value they now have on the Stock Exchange.

Proportionally to their value the board of directors of the social capital will distribute dividend earned by social capital from the sale of articles of consumption, on quaterly bases. (for more detailes, see my book "Capitalism today and Capitalism tomorrow"). Consequently, if earlier the capitalist private ownership existed in the form of private capital(individual or monopolistic capital), but now it will exists in the form of "social capital".

As under private capital and so under social capital individual and state ownership remains. If someone individually owned houses, plots of land or educational institutions , they continue to do so under social capital. The social capital posses only the property that previously belonged to the joint stock companies, for example: manufacture, delivery network and product distributions, land, buildings, etc. But it does not in any way put its hands on the individual or state capitalist property, which it did not inherit from monopoly capitals. Many readers got the impression that the social capital owns the whole property in the State and that it(social capital) controls the entire society. This is not the case. Social capital controls the capitalist society in the same degree as former monopolies controled the capitalist society.

2.What is the social capital from an economic standpoint? Under social capital the existence of market connections between monopoly capitals is replaced by straight technological connections between productive capitals of the whole society. Each plant knows in advance from what manufacturers, in what quantities, and at what time it will get raw material or half-finished product, and to what manufacturers, in what quantities, and at what time it must furnish its final product. This principle lies at the base of the functioning of the social capital. In other words, social capital is socialized production in a capitalist form. Since the goal of any social organism ultimately is to meet the needs of the population, the end product of productive activities of "social capital" is the production of articles of consumption in the form of social surplus value.

Or the Christians at City Hall blocking, illegally, people from getting married when it was legal. I would tell her that there are people in the world who are mean, bitter and hateful, and that they are that way because they are miserable with their own lives, their own choices and they have to be dealt with compassion. I would tell her that when people are afraid they react with violent hatred. I would tell her that when people don't feel they have enough love in their lives, they become mean, and angry. I would tell her that when people feel lost in this world, that sometimes, instead of seeking guidance they lash out and often when they lash out, it is in the form of bigotry and homophobia. I would tell her that the people who are the most violently homophobic are the ones that are the most afraid of what they themselves are experiencing. And because of this, I would tell her, they must be treated with compassion. These bigots are more terrified of us then we are of them, I would say. And I would say that the reason they are so much more scared of us then we are of them is because they are also terrified that someone might find out their secrets, their inner dialogue, someone might find out their fear of not being loved enough, their own inability to love, or their own desire to love but their fear of what that love means-and we are not afraid of ourselves, we are not afraid to love and be loved and we are not afraid of people that are different than us because we know that difference makes us stronger.

We have invited members of the public to come to ARC to demonstrate on behalf of these students. We will be meeting in front of ARC at 3 PM on Monday December 1st. We will be delivering the letter to administration at 4 PM. We welcome all members of the public and all members of the media for this event. Pursuit of Equality, the organization in Sacramento I am the Executive Director for and its members and all involved will be out there also.

Really what do we need to survive I'm so tired of
thinking that the only way I can make change around me
is to only have "big money", I wana be in the here and
now and realize we are all in the financial trenches together
and need to stop mentally living like we are going to
"hit the millions". I often wonder and think how god wants us
make our money in a overcrowded world like this, really its
kinda tight these days, but I feel that we are holding each
other up pretty well. I think this is only because we are
a god fearing Jesus loving country.. But population is going up,
science is science and is but only a tool from God
and God is not a respecter of persons especially when it comes
to his plan. We believe Jesus is our King,
SON of god, savor ambassador from God to us. All other religions
are saying he isn't his son but JUST a prophet and Jesus had this
same issue when the Jews turned against him saying he wasn't the
son of god and that he blasphemed....

Us believing that Jesus Christ is a prophet and real
son of God really upsets the other world religions
and you will notice they will try to shut down almost
every ave we go twisting the word into mush... All we
really have is the word king james, back to Greek, back
to the Hebrew. As a gentile I'm so happy to see we have
real Jewish Men and Woman that believe in Jesus Christ
being the real son, like on JewsforJesus.com, religions
like Baptist and catholic believe this too although I don't
agree with traditions of man other then the sharing of
bread and wine.. I'm a Christian non-denomination so that
might explain why I feel this way. So not only do we have
other religions teaching this incorrect doctrine about Jesus
NOT being the son we have religions implying
that people can get into the kingdom of Heaven without accepting
Jesus Christ was the son of God
and had died for there sins...

I cant wait till I "get money" to make a change
it might not be in my deck of cards... but I know
god takes care of me and that all he wants me to do is just
try, it might not look like you will have food tomorrow but
ask yourself one thing do you have a chance at food now? have
YOU tried to get it? Yea I'm sure you did and ya do,
other wise you need to pay God some attention because
he wants it from you, he's your creator remember don't act
like he's not watching you right now or then... guaranteed
if you pray to him he will help you, help might not help the
way you want or thought but he always makes a way out for you
and if he can make a way for the birds in this polluted world
he can and will make a way for you. As a Christian I know this
from his chastisement and or from lessons in life, if you will.
I always can look back and see the way things in life time out
God has a firm grip on the rings of my life you will see this is
true for you too.

change your life and keep trying,

There is little doubt that events unfolding in Mumbai are part of the wider ongoing effort by our (principally Euro/American) corporate military elite to continuously generate (and maintain) conflagration by false flag terrorism.

Read this: http://www.thirdworldtraveler.com/Afghanistan/Afghanistan_CIA_Taliban.html

Midway through is an explanation of how MI6/CIA activities intentionally sowed terrorism throughout the Afghanistan region.

The purpose is simple... terrorism and its intended aftermath (wars, economic stagnation) creates confusion and chaos... and inhibits indigenous prosperity... which contributes to dependencies and thus elite rule.

A very similar program was launched in the Americas that led to the usurpation of all lands and resources by the Europeans. In India and Pakistan, strict British rule has been continuous for sometime ... and entirely dependent upon programs (such as elite privileges and secret service surveillance of the entire population)to keep the poor more and more impoverished.

False flag operations have been used for centuries and the numbers of outfits trained and employed by imperial interests to execute them would shock most people.

Other false flag long term programs include 'Gladio'. Google it. Find out how the empire (ancient military corporate state) really works... Disinfo and violence in the service of greater and greater control over resources and people... and it always has.

BTW, US sovereignty is a sham. Its 'democracy' is but a thin veil for its membership status in the Imperial Euro-based military order which established it... as well as the false 'US' history still being taught in regard to this great travesty against the many nations existing prior to the Euro invasion. The 'US' is and always has been a Masonic ordered military dictatorship. Learn the real history of the foundation of this 'country':
George Washington was a British spy by the age of 21, an experienced terrorist, avid practitioner of genocide and 33 degree Mason with loyalty oath ties to Britian as well as 'the order' which included specific relations to other royal governed lodges throughout mainland Europe.
Also, during the buildup of terrorism in Afghanistan, 'spies' (both CIA and MI6) were continuously funneling the latest technologies into Russia! At the level of the elite rulers/planners, this was part of playing the game of factionalism (maintaining parity between 'opponents' (actually just dominions of the one world elite corporate military order))... and in this game ... you pay for (and develop) their war toys... with the desperation and fear which has been crafted for you... and they let you also be the fodder (soldiers and such) for the ensuing full blown war games!

It's all about extending and maintaining elite (and highly secret) power and privilege at the expense of the many! And continuous genocidal programs (wars, depressions, currency crashes, etc.) is what makes all this power-in-the-hands-of-a-few possible... and...

that even those who service and work for the empire never really understand its agenda, raison d'etre or ancient methods.

STOP THE VIOLENCE! STOP THE LIES! STOP GENOCIDE PROGRAMS! STOP FALSE FLAG TERRORISM!

It's easier than you think! MAKE THE CRITICAL DISCOVERY!

A Petland store recently opened in our neighborhood in Roseville, CA and this place may look like any other petstore but it's not. It sells puppies that come from puppy mills. Puppy mills are breading factories for dogs where dogs are mistreated, neglected and abused. The dogs you see at the store are cute and seem healthy and happy but do you know what their mothers looks like? Watch the video and see. It's so horrible and so sad. I promise it will probably break your heart. What I am asking of you today is to stop shopping at this store and get informed. There are other pet stores in the area that have the same supplies they do so go to the other stores and if your are looking for a new family pet have a heart and get your new dog from the SPCA or through a rescue or through a RESPONSIBLE and caring breeder. "O ye who believe! Take not the Jews and Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them for friendship is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust" - Qu'ran 5:51.

"Therefore when ye meet the Unbelievers (that would be you, dummy), smite at their necks (behead them). At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly on them: thereafter is time for either generosity or ransom, until the war lays down its burdens." "Thus are ye commanded; but if it had been Allah's Will, He could certainly have extracted from them Himself; but He LETS YOU FIGHT IN ORDER TO TEST YOU, some with others. But those who are slain in the Way of Allah, He will never let their deeds be lost." - Qu'ran 47:4.

The young man, wearing a shirt and a tie, turned up just as the pantry operated by an Iowa food bank was closing for the night.

He knew it was after-hours. That’s why he was there.

He kept his gaze downward as he told the woman from the food bank that he had lost his job, had a wife and kids and was too embarrassed and ashamed to stand in line to receive a bag of groceries that hopefully would feed his family for a week.

I have a master’s degree. I shouldn’t have to do this, he said.

I heard this story last December, a few weeks before the Iowa presidential caucus.

Throughout this election season I talked with professionals and volunteers at food banks and pantries across the country.

The refrain was the same from Oregon to South Carolina, from Maine to Texas: Demand was rising, easily outstripping supply.

More and more new faces were standing in line; not looking anyone else in the eye, hoping not to be recognized by friends or neighbors.

The bitter irony for some was that once they had contributed to their local food bank. Now they needed its help.

These people did not fit the stereotype of who comes to a pantry, a shelter or a kitchen.

A lost job, an unexpected medical expense, a utility bill or difficulty paying the rent or mortgage - especially during a period of high food prices - any of these can push people into that line.

The freshest statistics, covering 2007, were served up this week by the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

An estimated 36.2 million people struggled with some form of hunger (or, to use the government term, “food insecurity.”)

That’s 12.2 percent of the population – one in eight Americans.

Among them . . . some 691,000 children.

That was last year.

We know what direction the economic arrows point this year.

When he takes office next year, President-elect Obama will have a menu full of priorities.

There should be room for hunger on his plate.

From the perspective of professionals in the field, not enough was said on the campaign trail about hunger.

“When it comes to the political candidates, invisible is a good word,” was the assessment from Karen Ford, executive director of the Food Bank of Iowa, who pronounced herself “tremendously” disappointed.

“The folks out there believe that’s not going to be the topic that’s going to get them elected,” said Agostinho “Augie” Fernandes, then president of the Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan. “It’s not sexy enough,” Fernandes chuckled.

There was hunger even along the generally affluent “Main Line” of Philadelphia.

Marlo DelSordo of Philabundance, which operates the city’s largest food bank, told me about a woman whose husband lost his job as a corporate executive and, like millions of Americans caught in the mortgage industry meltdown, they were “house poor.” Appearing somewhat shell-shocked, this woman never expected to be at a pantry, receiving a handout.

“People don’t associate people in the suburbs with hunger,” DelSordo says. “But so many of the people that we help, they’re trying” even with jobs and education, to keep food on the table.

Naomi Schalit, opinion editor of the Kennebec Journal, authored a remarkable series of articles about hunger in Maine. The six months Schalit spent last year meeting the hungry and visiting food banks and pantries, changed her life. “I was guilt wracked. Here I was spending as much on one meal as some of these people had to feed themselves for a day or longer,” she told me. Schalit noticed the amount of food left uneaten at restaurants. At the grocery, she marveled at the variety, but was critical of “the energy spent in this insane, ridiculous diversity . . . I mean, who needs 14 kinds of oat flakes? We can do all this, but we can’t feed our people,” Schalit lamented.

Schalit’s heroes included Nancy Marcoux, director of the Fairfield Interfaith Food Pantry at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Fairfield. The 63-year-old Marcoux remembered when Mainers were more self-sufficient. But now more and more people around her - people with jobs, with educations, but with diminished opportunities, resources and hope – were struggling. “They’ll come in and say, ‘I never thought in my life that I’d have to come to a food pantry,’” Marcoux told Schalit.

Yes, millions of tax dollars are spent to feed the hungry - by supplying food banks with surplus farm commodities, through the food stamp programs and by other means.

Yes, the food industry – which has become increasingly efficient, producing less excess – provides local communities with sizeable donations.

Yes, millions of Americans give not only money and food – but also their time. Volunteers often are as welcome as canned goods.

But the number of people in line grows steadily.

The dedicated folks who work at food banks and the agencies they serve see the human faces that represent those numbers.

They know that Thanksgiving compels more private citizens and businesses to make donations.

And they know their local news media will report on efforts to feed the less fortunate.

They just hope that after Thanksgiving the faces in those lines won’t be forgotten.

Because hunger takes no holidays.

Let's remember that we need to give year round, not just during the holidays..

Some may not have as much as last year, but we should all be able to share what we can - when we can.. | Hello ladies and gentlemen, I would like to start this out by stating that we the people are the Government, and we need to start making a stand and draw a line in the sand.

The reality of the situation is that we are facing a precipice of sorrow and hatred. We hate what is going on in society today, but most of us lack the resources or the voice to stand up against it all, it seems like it is too big to fight. Well ladies and gentlemen that is the kicker, we can demand change, we can stand against the tyranny, we can make the choice to take back the country that belongs to us and not the Corporate Pirates.

The Corporate Crime Wave is at an all new high, price gouging, intimidation tactics, flat out lies, corruption, greed, and they are deeply embedded in Washington D.C. buying out the representatives that are supposed to support the people, our voice cannot be heard over the Billions in bribes the Corporate Interests, and Lobby Groups. In result the Politicians want to keep their blood money coming in so they lay our lives to waste without a care.

The Media is a farce, and only reports what they are told to report, a prime example of this is the sheer number of reports and columns on the Associated Press and the BBC which you would think would be important news, but gets totally skipped by our Puppet Media. Such as the DHS/FBI rounding up Americans and Holding them at the time of the Democratic National Convention as possible "threats", sad part is over 90% of the people "detained" had no prior criminal record, and have yet to be proven to be conducting criminal activity. We have to wake up people, this is only getting worse.

There is some unbiased media exposure that is covering this travesty, such as MTV, Time Magazine, AP, BBC America, and every once in a while CNN. Meanwhile the veil of shadows is spread by the propaganda machine already in the Politicians Pockets.

We have a choice to make, we have to stand United against the Tyranny before the cold reality becomes truth, and history repeats itself. We have an Obligation to our forefathers to make sure that this never happens. Americans have spilled too much blood to allow our rights to be stripped away without even a fight. We the people have to put aside our differences and decide if the ideal of "Freedom" is worth saving, you have to search your own heart for the truth. You have to stand back and look at the big picture as to what is happening. A lot of these things we strike out as evidence are not even hidden from public view.

The Politicians and their cronies know your so lazy you'll never go to the federal websites and look up the information for yourself. But if you feel like you should look up these very important and very unconstitutional pieces of legislature. It will scare you to find out the big picture.
