<![CDATA[I have for sale this original San Diego 200th Anniversary Congressional Medal-US Mint. Please give me a call if you are interested in this on 619-245-1808 or email me ok. I am only asking for $50 or best offer for anyone who knows the value. This is from an old estate here in San Diego and is a 1969 congressional commemorative medal celebrating San Diego's 200th year anniversary. On the front is the dates 1769-1969 with a spanish mission, a friar and a spaniard with a distinctive helmet. On the back it has the San Diego World's Fair Exposition buildings in Balboa Park (that still remain), a woman in a covered wagon, a large wooden sailing ship and an old mission. This comes in the original case, and has a written description along with acknowledgements of being provided by local banks that reads "San Diego 200th Anniversary Congressional Commemorative Medal Struck by the US Mint for July 16, 1968 release". This appears to be copper or copper coated and has slight oxidation on the edge. This is 1 5/16 inches in diameter and 1/8 inch thick. The case is 2 1/18 inch squared and is clear plastic. ]]>
