DO YOU HAVE TONTS OF PICTURES JUST LAYING AROUND IN BOXES? WHY NOT PUT THEM INTO A PHOTO ALBUM WITH EFFECTS AND MUSIC!!! JUST IN TIME FOR THE HOLIDAYS...
Hello my name is Kitty and I’m looking for a full time nanny position starting in January. I will be graduating with my BS in Psychology next month and am moving back to San Diego.

I love being around children and hearing them laugh, I truly think it was one of the most wonderful sounds on this earth. I have been a nanny for over 5 years and have become like a member of the family with both of my long term families.

My first nanny job was with this wonder woman Elania and her two young boys. At the time they were 3 and 6 years of age. My duties besides watching/playing with the boys included housework, cooking, homework, and pick up/drop of from school. I was with this family for just shy of 3 years.

The second long term family was a bit bigger with four children, ages 5,3,18 months and newborn. Since education is a large part of my back ground I did specialized lessons with the children along with play. The oldest was learning multiplication and how to read a clock; he was also able to read small children’s books that were very advanced for his age. The 3 year old was learning how to read, and could do simple addition and subtraction. The 18 month year old was able to count over 30 (yet did like to skip 13, guess he knew it was unlucky?), he could not only count in English but picked up counting in Spanish, which I practiced with all the children. I am not bilingual, however would teach them basics, colors, numbers and animal names. The newborn I was teaching concepts of math and reading. Yes, I know that sound ridiculous however it is possible and if you wish I can go in to detail on how.

When I transferred to CSU Chico for school, I didn’t work while attending classes. However, during winter and summer brake I did nanny for different families.

I mentioned above that I had an educational background. While I was still in high school, I was apart of this wonderful child development center/class. Our classroom was linked with a preschool and during the three years that I was apart of this program, I was able to teach different themes and logged over 300+ hours. I was also able to be a part of a program for teen mothers; we basically worked with the infants while they attended class. They got free day care and we got hands on experience. I never had to log my hours but I would approximate it’s over 100+ hours. While in college, my theme (sort of like a minor) was the child. I took psychology of the child, children’s health, and literature classes.

I have wonderful references that adore me; however I am not going to give out their personal information except to serious applicants. I have my own car and a clean driving record. However, if I am driving the kids around, gas has to be compensated. I use to be CPR certified but it expired, I am willing to get it again.

I am looking for:
Full time
$12-$15 an hour
A loving family, who will allow me to make suggest of book choices, loves art and music, and allow me to specialize fun and playful lessons.

Well…This is a very long ad so I’ll stop it here.
Kitty

Contact information
E-mail works the best, I am currently flooded with school work and normally the only time I have right now is at 1am…which is when I am writing this!
L8yMystique8201@hotmail.com

Phone: 858 231 1363

Even though I won’t be home till December 24th, I can certainly do phone interviews and my references really do love me, and will hopefully make you feel at ease about allowing me around your children.

Looking for interested parties for a Pre Turkey Day Mt Bike ride? This would be a " No one gets left behind ride". A ride minumum of 10 riders at least. Looking for at least 20 riders for a really fun day. The planned ride would be for about 2 to 3 hours in the Lake Cuyumaca area. Basically, the Poker Run trail and we don't have to commit to the whole loop. Expect ride to be at least 15 miles. A start time of at least 8am so us busy people planning turkey can get back home. We only ask for a few rules:

Be on time.
Have bike in ride ready condition.
Proper safety equipment, mainly your helmet.
Water
Tubes
Tools
And just a fun attitude.

Sorry, but we are asking for no first timers on a bike. This ride does have a measurable level of difficulty to it and we all do not want to be out there all day. Please let friends and family know if interested and contact me asap. I would say again a 10 rider minumum for ride to take place. Rain cancels deal. Let's hope for a fun morning. Thanks all.

I have a sweet little girl here who needs a home. I've been fostering her for 2 weeks now making sure she's caught up on shots and cared for. She's about 14 weeks old. Chihuahua/toy fox terrier mix....only weighs 3 lbs. Very quiet. Very affectionate. Vet refuses to spay as she feels it would be life threatening for as small as she is (a little underweight as well). She is almost housebroken, though she is crate trained. She's also learning her basic commands which is a challenge for small dogs!! Not a single ounce of aggression in her. She gets along great with dogs, cats, and kids of all ages and sizes. She's a huge lover and needs someone who will spoil her. I'm asking $250 cash only for her which includes crate, bed, food, dish, toys, harness and leash. The fee is to cover the things she needed since she's been here as well as the vet bill. I can also provide her vet records to show she is updated on shots, dewormed, and has flea treatment. All this as of yesterday. She's a awesome little dog! Would make a wonderful addition to anyone's home! If seriously interested, please contact me. I keep getting flagged but will make an effort to repost as much as possible to find her the perfect home. Pics upon request.

NPR's Morning Edition featured a very interesting interview with Chairman Barney Frank this morning. In it he asserted that the $25 billion that the Big 3 is now seeking is definitely not enough to keep the companies going, and it will be followed by tens of billions more if the companies come up with a 'plan' that seems promising. Although if you listen to the interview, he gets awfully agitated at the NPR host for trying to hone in on this point:

******************

Steve Inskeep: I want to ask you about something mentioned in that report from an economist from the University of Maryland. What makes you think the $25 billion would even be enough?

Rep. Barney Frank: We don't think it would be enough. The way we have this structured, they will get $25 billion if the bill passes, with a lot of conditions. No dividends can be paid, no bonuses for people over $200,000, and some other things. But they would have to prepare and file by March 31 a plan that shows how they plan to get much more efficient and to get cars that can be marketed.

But let me ask you about the first thing you said, Congressman, because you said you don't think $25 billion is enough.

Right, I'm trying to explain to you how it works.

OK.

They get $25 billion — the federal government would be in the first position to be repaid. We will come ahead of the debt holders, the shareholders, etc. They file this plan on March 31. If, on March 31, the president does not believe that this is going to get them the viability with energy efficiency cars, they have to repay the loan; they get no more money. If they can show by March 31 a plausible way to go forward, then we would consider giving more money, again, under equally stringent conditions.

So this could be $50 billion, $75 billion, $100 billion?

Well, [insurance company] AIG, which I don't think anyone would think was as important to the American economy as the auto industry ... got $40 billion just now to make it up over $100 billion. To some extent, let's not have a white-collar/blue-collar bias in our public policy. You know, those who say, hey, go bankrupt so you can cut back on what the unions have won — the unions have already made some concessions. But, you know, we've had enough anti-union activity, and enough increase in income inequality in this country. I don't want to set a precedent that bankruptcy now is a way in which you undo what gains unions have been able to hold on to.

***********************

Notice Frank is already retreating from a debate on the merits of the proposal. For him, a decision on whether or not to bail out the automakers is really a decision on whether unions are good things. And of course, given the information that Rob Bluey provides about average wages for unionized auto workers, it's easy to see that the competitiveness of the Big 3 is not helped by the UAW.

Beyond that, is Frank willing to speak honestly about his plan for hundreds of billions in taxpayer money? How much is he willing to spend? And what does he expect the Big 3 'plan' to look like, in order to convince him to loosen the purse strings. Lastly, he should stop pretending that the automakers will pay back the first $25 billion in April if their plans are found wanting. That money will be spent relatively quickly, and if more federal dollars are not forthcoming, the Big 3 won't have any revenue with which to pay back.

On a related note, let's remember that the real reason for all this bailout talk is that Democrats in Washington want to run a car company. They believe the team in Detroit failed at the job, and they want to take a shot themselves. If you have any doubt of that, look at Frank's bill:

• Long-Term Restructuring Plan – Not later than 3/31/09, loan recipients must submit to Treasury acceptable restructuring plan for long-term viability and international competitiveness, including fuel efficiency standards and advanced technology vehicle manufacturing, rationalization of costs, and proposals for restructuring existing debt.

• Oversight Board The Financial Stability Oversight Board (Oversight Board) established under EESA will provide oversight of the loan program, and will have four additional members for purposes of the loan program (Secretaries of Energy, Labor and Transportation and the EPA Administrator) in addition to the five existing members (Fed Chairman, Treasury Secretary, FHFA Director, SEC Chairman, and HUD Secretary).

[snip]

• Warrants – Treasury must obtain warrants from each loan recipient (or economic equivalent in the case of a privately held firm) equal to 20% of the loan or such greater percentage as may be determined by Treasury in consultation with the Oversight Board.

• Executive Compensation and Corporate Governance – All executive compensation restrictions from EESA apply to loan recipients for the duration of the loan plus the following additional restrictions: no bonuses to employees making more than $200,000 (which Treasury will adjust for inflation). no golden parachutes under any circumstances. no compensation plan that could encourage manipulation of reported earnings to enhance compensation.

• Ability to Prohibit Transactions, Oversight of Financial Condition – For duration of the loan, Treasury in consultation with the Oversight Board will have the authority to review and prohibit any asset sale, investment, contract, or commitment proposed to be entered into by the recipient valued in excess of $25 million.

So Barney Frank's plan is for the federal government to acquire a stake in the car companies, approve their operating plans going forward, and to have veto power over any business decision costing more than $25 million. He might as well appoint himself CEO.

The management in Detroit has not done a great job. Do you think Barney Frank and Barack Obama's Cabinet are likely to do better? Because Barney Frank's plan is to switch the latter for the former -- with the taxpayer donating untold billions for the privilege to make the switch.

Bankruptcy sounds better by the day.

I have a male cockatiel (young, i was told) and a female parakeet that I need to rehome due to the fact that my dogs won't leave them alone. I have a large german shepherd puppy who likes to jump up on the cage and this freaks them out. The other day, my daughter took out the cockatiel and the parakeet flew out and ended up in the dog's mouth. She is ok but I am afraid the next time won't be a happy ending. The cockatiel is named Dolly as we originally thought he was a girl and the parakeet is a girl named Sandy. They are in a large bird cage on wheels with the seed guards on the sides. (not sure what the officially name is for them) but they help keep the seeds off the floor. They will come with the cage, their toys and whatever food and treats are left for them. The cage has non-removeable ladders on the top along with 2 large food/water bowls. It has 2 removeable trays for easy cleaning and a shelf underneath to store food and stuff. It has 2 small doors on each side to easily access the food and water bowls inside the cage and a large door on the front. Dolly, the cockatiel whistles, makes clicking noises and can sing the "Legend of Zelda" tune. He also gives kisses. He will try to whistle other stuff if he hears it enough times and will sometimes put it all together in his own song which is funny. He is tame and will sit on your shoulder. He will walk along the blinds and chatter and whistle at my fruit plaques hanging on the wall. They both need to have their wings clipped again. The parakeet is not tame but she's Dolly's girlfriend so she would like to come with. Sometimes they squabble but get along for the most part. $300 rehoming fee and you need to pick up because the cage won't fit in my car. I might be able to borrow a truck and meet halfway somewhere but would need payment in advance. I live in El Centro. I don't have any upclose pics of the parakeet on this computer (although she is the splash of blue in the first pic on the wooden dowel perch) but have some at home that i will post later. These pics are of Dolly, the cockatiel.

Hi Steve from Creepy Crawlies reptile and exotics rescue. Anyone who is going to donate a reptile or any animal to any rescue. Please always make sure that you ask to see where that animal is going and be sure that the people taking it actually care about and have the ability to care for your pet. If they are on the up and up they will not mind you checking out where they are and making sure that you pet is going to be safe. I find nothing wrong with in home rescues as long as it is not to acquire free animals to sell them or breed them. Any help for animals is good and there are many people that do in home rescue who are awesome. Thank you very much,,,,,,,Steve

Hello,

This might sound odd, but if you have no change you want or need, I would more then happy pick it up from you, I was laid off from my job, two weeks before I had to pay my wedding deposit. I have looked for a job, I have been waiting a whole month for my unemployment check and still nothing!! I call everyday!! its frustrating.. My wedding location said I either need to make the payment in two weeks or it is canceled. Me and my fiance are doing this alone and could really use some help. I do not want $100.00 or even $5.00, I just want to know if someone had change they were keeping in thier homes they would like to get rid of to help me make the money for my wedding, as embarrasing as this is, it is my last resort to make my dreams come true.

Thank you.

Karina

Just calling out untruthful claims when I see them. All I'm asking for is some accuracy, is that too much to ask from a Liberal? If you can't do it, just say so and I'll know to fact check everything you state. Look, we are all wrong at one point or another, so just own up to it and you'll be better respected on this board. I just owned up to matthew's correction on the Mr. Natural/Keyser Soze comment I made (I had the wrong name). It's not that difficult, really. But to say 'my bad' over something that wasn't even mentioned is a bit shameless, don't ya think?

You know we typcially 'get along' on this board and have some good discussions... it's just lies like those put you right in the same category of most the other Jethro's on this board. Don't be a Jethro. That's all I'm asking.

You don't know what I've asked you to "fact check"? It's in writing still, maybe go back and re-read the posts again. I don't know if typing it twice really would make any sort of difference, would it?

Other than you, who said you were a Savage heathen? You feel matthew gave me a smack down on the Bible? How so, by cherry picking his way through the items he wants to believe God on and the other items he refuses to believe God on? Sounds hypocritical to me, no wonder some "Christians" have a bad name.

An interesting concepts hit me last night on the drive home... matthew speaks a lot about the discrimination of gay people, yet I wonder if he feels they have been persecuted throughout history more than Christians have? I have decided to start doing childcare in my home. I am offering a 5 day a week daycare type situation for days or nights. I am also making myself available for weekend date nights etc. I can take care of children if you need to travel. We have plenty of space and lots of healthy meals and snacks. I have five years experience as a prechool teacher. I have also been a registered nurse for 9 years in ICU/ER. I am a little burnt on nursing and am in a position to start doing what I have always enjoyed and that is childcare. I have always enjoyed caring for children. I am starting to get a season and holiday curriculum together; learn by play, that involves a lot of art and interaction. I do not mind getting dirty and getting down in the dirt with the kids, so they will definately have fun while they are learning.

Morning drop off at 6:00am if needed and pick up is at 6:00pm. Night/day schedules can be negotiable based on your needs.
$125 per week
Please call Nicole at 619-866-1128
I am located off of Palm Ave and 5 freeway. Easy location, directly off of the freeway. Thanks. Can start as soon as this Monday.

But it's not our fault!"
"Alright already!! It is OUR fault! But who says it's not a good thing?!"

And another in which I responded to the following:
"...we should all look forward to warmer climes and increased levels of C02, because of the positive impact it will have on shipping routes, fauna, and life in general"
[How did I know that was coming?...]
First it was, "Global warming isn't happening!!"
Then it was, "Okay...it is... But it's not man-made!"
Now it is, "Okay, Okay, it's man-made. But look at all the benefits. And just think, if we'd have listened to the tree-huggers we wouldn't have a more direct route from Asia to Walmart. 'Always low prices. Always.
You people are just incredible. [No, really. [Even you or I could accomplish it]. Second, it didn't reach the determination you did when you including the word "global warming 'scares' " [you couldn't help yourself, could you?]. Through constant revision, Science is self-correcting. It rarely, if ever, gets it right on the first go-round. The problem with your thinking is that you want to view 'science' as a monolith and consequently, because competing scientists question various aspects of a thing, that that casts doubt on the entire endeavor. [That's an anomaly peculiar to a rigid mindset.] On the contrary, disputation is evidence that the undertaking has intellectual integrity.
In science nothing's written in stone; there are no imprimaturs nor nihil obstat.
"A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds"
~~Emerson

( Don't just tell me community fish.. be specific)
Do you have a filter?
Do you have a heater?
Do you have a separate tank for the younger fish to grow up in until their ready to be moved in with the larger fish ( this question is directed towards the guppy fish only)

Okay so the fifth person that emails me and is a good match for my fish will be emailed shortly after to come and pick them up (Hopefully this weekend). So here is the fish packages.

Package #1
You will get six young juvenile guppies. These guys are about 1/2"-3/4" right now and some are just starting to color up. I will select six beautiful guppies many of which have started to show some color. These guys are to young to sex but as your getting six of them I'm sure you will get both sexes.

Package #2
You will get six beautiful young adult swordtails. These guys are about 1.5"-2" right now and are brightly colored. The colors I have are bright orange, gold, and gold with a red/orange tail. I will include both male and female.

**Note: if you email me more than once you will forfeit your chance on getting these free fish as I want everyone to have an equal chance of winning. Also when you send me the email tell me exactly what type of fish you are interested in.

Unfortunately, I am trying to find a home for Jack and Jill.

They were born in the same litter on April 22, 2002. They have been indoor cats their entire lives.
