Seems to be a fairly dead place, as far as TV is concerned. So, here I go posting in SD. Please note: I am NOT talking about Imperial Beach. It's Imperial, near El Centro. As in way out farmland desert boonies. What I need is someone to help carry and set up equipment, and take timecode notes. It's going to be a full day. Here's the sticky wicket: I don't actually get paid to have a PA, so I need to keep it down to $100. This is what I normally pay locally. I cannot add more to cover all the driving time, which I realize adds up to another 4-5 hours on top of the full day. On the other hand, I will do the driving - just meet me somewhere along the 15 or 8 corridor. So, if you're out in Alpine, this might not be all that bad... especially in lean times such as these. It is a quasi-musical, a stylized story of good vs. evil, a world created with images and sounds telling the story of Sam and Lily, a couple in a very unordinary world-and their encounter with "The Jack of Hearts" (Jim Morrison meets something otherworldly) with the third act taking place in an otherworldly concert. By otherworldly we mean David Lynch, Coen Bros...not horror...a world with buildings and streets and characters that you can't quite put a finger on...eerily art deco then 40's but surely not quite that...This is a passion project-2 film school graduates who have been in the 'real' world for two years and are finally getting back to making a FILM. We are seeking a producer to HELP (since to be clear we are working on this as well...)us make this happen in the form of: gathering leads and helping to secure locations crewing up equipment actors EXTRAS (a concert scene) food, insurance, props, whatever! and anything and everything from top down.
