Pay Rate: Salary commensurate with experience Expected Duration: 3 months + Job Description: The SharePoint Web Programmer should have a strong understanding of Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (WSS), Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS), and related technologies in the Microsoft stack. The Web Programmer will work closely with the Assistant Director of Digital Media and IT to build custom branded public websites for UCSD programs and departments using the MOSS 2007 platform. The programmer should be skilled in automating business process through the use of forms and workflow, integrating data and business intelligence using advanced tools, documenting requirements, and delivering business solutions built on the SharePoint platform. The programmer may need to develop complex Access, MS SQL, and MySQL databases that can integrate with SharePoint sites and/or link to external data sources via XML or UCSD data warehouse feeds with ASP.Net (C#). The Web Programmer must be able to translate business needs into cross-platform web functionality and will be required to work with minimal technical supervision. The incumbent must be familiar with current best practices in website design and usability standards, W3C, section 508 requirements, and search engine optimization. Qualifications: * Experience with web tools such as Visual Studio, SharePoint Designer. * Experience applying a custom-branded look and feel within SharePoint, through custom programming as well as use of the Telerik Rad Controls. * Experience building webparts and WSP solutions. * Experience with n-tier programming utilizing Microsoft SQL Server as the Data tier. * Experience in Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS), Windows Server and MS SQL Server and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. * Experience with ASP.net, JavaScript and C#, XML and CSS. * Ability to research and apply current protocol standards including HTML, XML, XHTML and XSLT.
