Horn is excellent with 2 very small pencil point size bell lip dings from the old case, and little ding near the octave key were I bumped the soprano next to it. All could be spooned out if careful. Lacquer is 98%. 9 on a 10 scale. Close US copy of a Selmer Paris MK VI. I had this, a Super Action Eighty, and a friends MKVI and a MKVII to play test at once. Tighter in action than other three. Key layout is nearly identical to the MKVI. A tad bit brassier in tone than the Paris models. I would prefer this model over a MKVII, but not the Super Action 80 or VI. It was close, however. When these were introduced, many front line players purchased them for their backup horn, you can still see them around today. Plays excellent with no air leaks, or any regulation/intonation problems. Just needs a very light polishing to really make it look new. Couple of decent mouthpieces included. These models in this good of condition are starting to approach MK VII prices. I saw a couple on SaxQuest push the 2000.00 mark. Don't waste your money on a Jupiter, Antigua Winds, E.M.
