<![CDATA[Lets get one thing straight right off the bat, im a guitar player seeking players and i think my style would best be described as similar to these two bands. Im 35 years old and have been playing since I was a teenager in high school. I cut my teeth on these bands and some of San Diego's greatest punk bands of the 80's and 90's (Sub Society, Three Mile Pilot, Drive Like Jehu) and for some odd reason it's what i play whenever i pick up my guitar. Go figure! Power riffs, huge solos, no holding back, alot of heart, all original. That's what this project is going to be about. I'm dedicated, and have the equipment needed to make the noise. I would hope you do too. Good sense of humor is a must. No hard drug users, herb and beer welcomed, just dont go overboard and be fumbling on your damn instrument! Please check your egos at the craigslist ad. Ideally, a power trio is all that would be needed to blast a room, that leaves a bass player and a drummer position to be filled. Who's onboard!? On a personal note, I would like to see this project provide a 4-5 x/month paid gigging scenario, enough for a part time wage .Honestly, I'm sick of working for peanuts in a corp. job. It's time to get back to the important things in life, things I enjoy doing. There's no reason I can't earn the equivalent wage doing something I love and comes easily,. Let's finish this up and be clear. I am not trying to relive my childhood, or become a rockstar, this is for survival purposes only. ]]>

Ideally it would be a mix of Origianls and Covers. I have never been in a cover band, and need to work on my cover repertoire. It wouldn't be a good fit, if you have a cover band, with a whole set down , and just need a guitar player to step in. As I have never played 95% of the covers you do. I have been in Origanal bands all my life. I'm not really interested in playing the same over-played cover songs that every cover band on the planet does. I would like to play more like the B-Sides, I.E. songs from the classic rock groups that are not the most popular songs, but still recognizable, and memorable. The goal with this for me is not about making a few dollars doing the same old covers, but doing something a bit different, having some fun, regular practice with other musicians, recording and gigs from time to time. I pick up songs quickly by ear, understand music theory and know how to sing harmonies. I am available to tour, both domestically and abroad. I do not have a family or kids, substance abuse problems, psychotic relationships or any other such baggage. I am well organized and can be a real asset to your team with regards to band communication, practice schedules, as well as computerizing set lists and learning materials such as MP3s and charts so they can be shared online. I strive to be up front and direct in my dealings with other band members. I try to criticize in private and praise in public whenever possible. I do not tolerate abusive behavior nor do I take any shit from people inside or outside of the band. I help the drummer and other band members load in and out once I am finished with my own gear. Must have your own gear, and must be able to transport yourself to practices twice a week. You must also be willing to practice on your own time as there will be homework.
