I am 36, have a house w/rehearsal room, drums, Amp for guitar, Amp for Vocals, and quite a few guitars & a bass. I am not interested in touring, only local/regional gigs.. recording is fine, along with all the merchandising, etc etc etc.. just no cross country/international tours. I have already done it and have no use for repeating it. I am a pretty good mid-fast drummer with or without fills (no dbl bass crap). I am also an ok guitarist with ability to play anything from bluegrass to Social Distortion type stuff.. nothing too intricate. I am open to playing either drums or guitar.. it really depends on the other musicians I find and their abilities. (I don't need anymore advice on "sticking to one instrument") SOME of my influences include: Social Distortion, X-ray Spex, The Oppressed, Newtown Neurotics, Angelic Upstarts, Youth Brigade, The Buzzcocks, Eater, Generation X, Misfits(w/glen), etc.. I also like Johnny Cash, Lefty Frizzell, Go Cat Go, and a bunch of hillbilly stuff. <![CDATA[I posted an ad a while ago and I got some responses for a progressive death metal guitarist or drummer ( focused on death, cynic, atheist, opeth, and some brutal stuff like Beheaded, with a focus less on technicality and more on trippy catchy fast riffs, actual music, not purely technical mumbo jumbo), then I lost my phone lol. so hit me back up! My phone number is 6192538020. Since i posted the add I have finished writing a two part 8 min. song, and have used a drum machine for the drum parts. I am not a drummer, therefore I believe the drums that I programmed could be way better if someone with experience worked with it. I am looking for someone who can program drums quite well ( and has good samples to work with, or is able to get some) or a real drummer, who is willing to put a bit of their own technical flair into the songs drumming patterns. If you are interested, I will send the song with the drums i put to it, along with with a bpm number for every part of the song. I will also provide the guitars without the drums if you need them. I want the speed of the music to be relatively the same, but you are free to be creative with it or make suggestions about speed, the guitars, or the drums to me, I am very easy to deal with, have a job and transportation and am serious about getting this shit going! Very 420 friendly, I will bring my vaporizer and provide for every jam session or meet up to discuss drums and whatnot, down for late night sessions too, I have a large room with a large PA that we can work in, or your place. All credits will be given when a cd gets around to be released, which wont be for a while, but I am very determined to see this through. We have an album recently finished that was recorded and produced by a nationally known producer. As of now, we have a couple songs written out with drums and guitar, with bass in the works. Still within the creative process with ideas aplenty and a song thats a work in progress...well, all works in progress as far as we see though until the bass and voice follow suit. The ideal singer would be one open minded as both a person and musician...also driven/passionate about his craft. This can of course also be learned and we are capable of leading this process if necessary. So someone open to this facet and growing in it is ideal) 4. CREATIVE ABILITY (This is more of a bonus. We are solid songwriters and creators and don't need too many ideas. Someone who can take drum ideas and make them sparkle with their own creative personality would be ideal.) 5. PERSONALITY (This one probably should go higher simply because we must of course all get along enough to work together. Also, someone who has integrity and honesty along with a stable living environment that won't present problems with scheduling conflicts or emotional conflicts.
