What we're looking for: While we are not currently able to offer a steady source of income, we are looking for someone with a very professional mindset. Our material is not extremely difficult but it, without a doubt, does require a certain substantial level of skill. The ideal candidate will be confident, but not arrogant, with lots of energy, a strong sense of dynamics (proper use of volume), versatile technical capabilities and musical tastes. Also, the ability to improvise is a must! We are looking for someone whose good personality filters into their playing. A detailed understanding of the playing styles of groups like these is strongly advised but not required: Gov't Mule, Tower of Power, The Meters, Derek Trucks Band, Humble Pie, Widespread Panic, Curtis Mayfield, Elvin Bishop, Cold Blood, and Funkadelic.
