<![CDATA[Hey, I’m a 19 year old guitarist/vocalist. I'm looking to start a new project from scratch, consisting of a lead guitarist, rhythm guitarist, bassist, drummer, and vocalist. In this project, I would take the role of rhythm guitarist only, so I'm looking for the rest. The music I'm looking to play is a modern rock style, similar to Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and John Mayer. I have no material written for this, so it would start entirely from the beginning. I would like to start playing shows as soon as possible, try to get a decent local following, and hopefully sign to a label, major or independent. It’s pretty ambitious, but if you don’t have the motivation and the goals, what’s the point? A little about me… I live in San Francisco, close to SFSU and Daly City. I currently attend Ex’pression College for Digital Arts in the Sound Arts program, which translates to FREE studio time when I get to the appropriate classes in the program. I don’t smoke cigarettes, or use drugs, though I am completely fine if you do as long as you aren’t a junkie and don’t let it get in the way of the band. I drink occasionally, but not to the point where I’m getting shit-faced every weekend. I’ve played guitar for around 4 and half years, almost always as a rhythm guitarist. I cannot play lead for the life of me, but I excel at rhythm. My musical background includes playing piano as well, and more recently singing. My singing ability is stronger as a background vocalist, which is why I’m looking for a vocalist. Band-wise, I come from a pop-punk background, playing stuff along the lines of Green Day, Blink-182, Jimmy Eat World, Paramore, etc. While that is the music I love, I’d like to start branching out a bit. I am willing to commute to just about anywhere within an hour or so of SF. This includes Emeryville, Oakland, Berkeley, San Mateo, San Jose, Walnut Creek, Hayward, Redwood City, Pacifica, etc… Obviously the closer to San Francisco or Emeryville the better, and if the rest of the band can commute to meet halfway that would be awesome. The first half of this video is what I find to be most important at this present moment; the explanation about how money is used. The next part I felt was significant if the replacement of man in the work place by machines, that is absolutely true. We have technologically advanced to the point that we have put ourselves out of work and become lazy in the process. The last part about our communities becoming organized like that is a long time coming. It kind of reminds me of "Logan Run". We all must learn to be one with each other before we can mutually agree to work together. At present, we are separate, separate in belief, separate in understanding and separate in means. We live are lives competing with each other to survive in a hostile world that we invented, a world driven by the ego mind that we invented. Once we have come to a mutual understanding, there will be peace and in that peace we will find happiness, and in happiness we will find joy, and in joy we will find love. Love for the One-Self that we truly are. To find this peace, happiness, joy and love; we must forgive everything and everyone including our selves. Without this forgiveness, we are blind, blind to the truth that we are responsible for our world. <![CDATA[I know this will fall on deaf ears, but I can't help wading into the fray of folks who seem to think that rescuers are the paragon of greediness and evil. This thread never seems to get old. How many people actually think this? Recently a small kitten found his way to my doorstep. He'd clearly not eaten in days, and was wet and bedraggled from the rain. I took him in, and made arrangements for him to receive basic care so he'd be adoptable: shots, neutering and medication for a nasty upper respiratory infection that was causing him to wheeze, and his eyes to fill with ooze. Do any of the hatemongers out there care to theorize how much this cost me out of pocket? That's right, upwards of $200. And this was just for basic care, without any specialized needs. Reputable rescues take care of all these issues and more, sometimes spending hundreds to thousands of dollars in veterinary care for an animal that's come in otherwise sick, neglected or abused. Most rescuers have full-time jobs and do this in their spare time, because they care. As nice as it would be for a rescue to provide unlimited care for an animal and then give it away for free, that's unrealistic; it's fair for an adopter to help offset those costs. There is the occasional rescue that's shady or shoddy, but the vast majority of these people love animals, hate seeing them suffer and do anything they can to help as many animals as possible. Cut them a break for attempting not to go bankrupt while doing so. For the Blue Planet Exhibition, we seek work that examines and explores the social, political and economic issues related to water. He is not neutered and does NOT get along with other cats. (If he did, I would surely keep him, but since I already own two cats... the situation doesn't work out). I can get dogs from the shelters around the country, have them transported to my home, pay myself a salary - many of you probably don't know that rescue individuals take salaries as long as the books come out non profit meaning you spend all income on one thing or another). Deduct my mortgage, electric, phone, all costs, vet bills etc.and more. And then resell the dogs for $300 to $500 or more, making a profit which will go into my salary. I thought it was a great deal so I wanted to pass it on. I can tell you how to file for one. Its really easy, just think five dogs $300 each is $1500 a month. And there are more ways to cut costs and get more dogs, there is no limit. And no one will check on your facilities!You don't even have to deal with the animals, you can farm them all out to unpaid fosters! Isn't that great!While they are busy cleaning up piss and feces you can sit on your butt all day on C.L flagging any competition. So maybe you should think about it. You can get first pick of dogs from the shelter before anyone comes for adoption, so you will get the more small desirable and healthier dogs than the public. The public can adopt the pit bulls and large dogs with problems or the Animal control can put them down, as they do. So, why should you miss out on a great part time "job"? ]]>

This kind girl is phenomenal, she has the best personality and is so eager to please. She looks up to her people very much and is super devoted. Selma loves to hang around the house, and get belly rubs. Selma will also do anything for a treat, she is super food motivated. She's so polite, and is such a low mantinence dog, who will love you as long as you can provide her with yummy treats, and a warm cozy doggie bed. Selma is also in great shape for her age and loves long walks, and is very gentle on leash. She even loves getting bathes and is super good. She's a real pleaser...
