It happens when I use Internet Explorer too. This started happening only recently. I’ve un-installed and re-installed Firefox. My virus protection (AVG) is up to date and running. MalwareBytes reports no problems. Suggestions? Update: IE 8 and Firefox are no longer operable on my computer in the usual way. However, I have Photoshop on my system. The Photoshop help system offers the option of viewing help pages on the Web. Using this option, a stripped-down version of IE 8 opens and works pretty well, though with some limitations. That’s my only way of getting online right now. A couple of days ago, when IE 8 and Firefox were both working, they exhibited odd behavior. Typing a URL into the IE 8 address bar caused the requested page to open in Firefox. This was so regardless of which of the two was my default browser. If I un-installed Firefox, the only page that IE 8 would open correctly was my home page, gmail, which worked fine. Typing any other URL brought up a message to the effect that the application was not available. Time to re-install Windows XP pro? ]]>

We are looking for an new platform - hopefully an open source one that could accomodate this number and keep track of who attended and for how long.
