<![CDATA[Director Needed for Holiday Performance, to direct actors, work blocking & integrate movement The Mayflower Community Chorus needs a director to handle all staging aspects of their upcoming holiday performance entitled Holiday Magic. Although as a community chorus the artistic standards are not at professional level, we do expect clean, memorized performances from the small acting roles which the chorus members themselves perform. The script will be quite short - less than 10 pages, and should take up less than 10 minutes of showtime. Compared to most theatrical productions the director's requirements are relatively small, since the focus of the performance is on singing. There is opportunity, however, to provide artistic flair via input on stage setting, lights, props (though minimal), etc. - in addition to the acting & movement aspects of the show - for a creative & energetic person.
