I can commit to 20 hrs. per week, but more than half the time I will need that same person 40-50 hrs. per week when I am on a job. (My husband also works full time.) Looking for someone who wants to stay with the same family for a while, at least a year.

Addison Elementary School in Palo Alto - Mondays beginning 9/20 (1 class per week open to K - 5th graders; 2:45 - 3:45pm)
<br>
Santa Rita Elementary School in Los Altos - Wednesdays beginning 9/22 (1 class per week open to K - 6th graders; 2:50 - 3:50pm)
<br>
<br>
The class will be a very basic combination of jazz & hip hop dance, and we can provide teachers with choreography. There will be about 10 classes at each school this fall with a relaxed mini-show for parents at the end of the session. At both schools, younger kids are dismissed from school earlier than older kids (and therefore earlier than the start of class). This means they'd need to be supervised from 2:20pm until the start of class.

The teacher of these after school classes will be compensated $35 per class.

Right now we only need a fall commitment (classes end in December). We follow the school schedules, so that means no class around Holidays like Thanksgiving/Christmas. We may be adding additional schools and Addison Elementary definitely wants us back for a winter/spring session.

Children experience an enriched Montessori program under the guidance of experienced, caring teachers in the tradition of the HeadsUp! Child Development Centers, which are also operated by Early Learning Institute, a Palo Alto-based educational organization. We operate on a year-round, full-day program.

<br>
The programs are individualized, recognizing each child's unique pattern of growth, talents, and needs. In addition to traditional academic skills, such as reading and mathematics, the program will emphasize "metacognitive" skills, such as learning how to learn, how to solve problems, and how to make intelligent decisions. Classrooms are materials-rich, prepared, structured environments. Information technologies such as computers, multi-media and networking play a major role as tools for learning.
