I have two adult rats, breeders for production of off-spring for rat food (they've had two litters, 10 and 14... She is nursing the 14 still and if you take them soon can have most of them as well) and a sub-adult female who has been introduced to the male but not yet had any litters. The breeders are not to go to be snake food. The male breeder was a pet prior to becoming a breeder and I can't fathom telling the kid that his pet is now snake food.

The three of them will need to go together, along with a 2x2x4 Super Pet cage on casters, a smaller temporary cage for rats that will fit through the wider spaced bars with the larger cage, small plastic water bottl, medium sized plastic water bottle, and the remaining lab blocks (rat food) from a 50 lb bag (probably still at leats 40 lbs left). The value of all of these items is over $200. Will sell all for $60.

keywords: rodent, rat, breeder, food, lab, chow, water, bottles, cage, spacious, room, wheels, pinkies, feeders, pets, reptile, snake, lizard, frog, kid, friendly, smart, training, fun, play, first pet Area: Marin, Sonoma, Windsor, Santa Rosa, Cotati, Rohnert Park, Sebastopol, Inverness, Nicasio, Point Reyes, Petaluma, Novato, San Rafael, Terra Linda, Kentfield, Ross, Greenbrea, Mill Valley, Larkspur, Fairfax, San Anselmo, Woodacre, Sausalito, San Francisco

I have a 4 year old Rosie Boa and his set-up (which includes, a 20 gal terrarium, under tank heater, heat lamp, shallow water dish, and grape-vine roots) available to a good home. I am asking a rehoming fee of $115 for all of it. He is a good eater, but will not put you out of home! Rosie boas are not nearly as costly as larger snakes, he eats two mice or 2 week old rats twice a month or so. (I also have breeder rats available if you are interested in setting up your own source of feed.) He is easy to handle and is a great starter snake for a child. He is a little head shy (meaning he will pull his head back if he is frightened). He has never bitten (not to say he couldn't but once you see the size of his mouth you will realize it isn't that threatening!) He would make an excellent classroom pet as well...

keywords: reptile, snake, small, exciting, calm, fun, exotic, school, pet, education, science, child, rat, mouse, tank, heat.
service area: Marin, Sonoma, Windsor, Santa Rosa, Cotati, Rohnert Park, Sebastopol, Inverness, Nicasio, Point Reyes, Petaluma, Novato, San Rafael, Terra Linda, Kentfield, Ross, Greenbrea, Mill Valley, Larkspur, Fairfax, San Anselmo, Woodacre, Sausalito, San Francisco

SATURDAY, JULY 31
PALO ALTO WHOLE FOODS
774 EMERSON
PALO ALTO
Part of Whole Buddy Pet Faire-- with demos, giveaways, food, and fun!

Pups in attendance are below. There will also be additional pups on their way from Merced:

Toby is an adorable 4 month old black lab mix who was rescued from Merced. He loves to play with other dogs and be close to people. Toby walks very well on leash and learns commands very fast (sit, leave it, stay, and shake so far!). He is a friendly, happy-go-lucky puppy that is looking for a forever home.

Quincy is a 10 month old border collie mix. He is a sweet boy who is a little on the shy side when meeting new people but does warm up quickly. His loves to be with his family and a part of the happenings. He will need a home who can provide him with regular exercise to keep him healthy and happy.

Lilac is a 3 month old shepherd mix who was rescued along with her sisters. She is definitely the more submissive of the bunch and loves to just be near you. She does have her playful bursts but right now she is more about cuddling. She does well with other dogs and is currently being fostered with kids and has been great with them.

Clover is a 3 month old black lab/shepherd mix with a fluffy soft coat and beautiful white markings. She is one playful girl who loves goofing around and having fun. She and her three sisters where dropped off at the Bakersfield shelter, but luckily they were rescued and are now ready for their new life. She will need an active household to keep her satisfied and she would probably love another dog to play with.

Ivy is a 3 month old black lab/shepherd mix who was rescued from Bakersfield. She is currently still a little shy, but warming up by the minute. Her outgoing personality is really starting to show she just needs a few more days to adjust to her new surroundings. She is a loving girl who enjoys the company of other dogs and people.

Vida is a 10 -12 month old black lab mix with a beautiful sleek coat. Her name couldn't describe her any better, this sweet playful girl is just full of LIFE. She gets along well with other dogs, loves, loves people and even passed her cat test. She does great with children as well, although she is a rambunctious girl. She is currently living with an infant, a toddler and two cats. Regular exercise would be needed for this sweet pup.

Peaches is a cute perky little 4/5 month old chihuahua mix. Peaches is an outgoing girl who loves meeting new people and other dogs. She also loves to cuddle and loves to play fetch. She is learning the house rules really quickly proving just how smart she is.

Chester is a 3 month old pup who we believe resembles more of a bull terrier mix than a pit bull mix, which is what the shelter labeled him as. He has a soft, sleek dark chocolate brown coat with the sweetest most soulful eyes you will ever see. He has a gentle loving personality and just wants to be with you. He loves playing with his toys and other dogs. He has been great meeting all kinds of different people and is quickly learning great leash manners.

Morris is an adorable 3 month old terrier mix, who appears to have a lot of bull terrier (his ears will eventually stand up). Morris came in with his brother Chester. He is definitely the more outgoing pup out of the two and curious about everything. He loves to play with his toys and also loves attention from anyone.

Blossom is a 2 month old terrier mix who was found abandoned in Merced tied to a bike rack. Despite this misfortune, she is a happy girl who gets along with dogs and LOVES people. She just wants to cuddle. She is a little wiggle worm who just loves attention. She greets everyone with a wagging tail and big smile.

Candice is a 10 month old American bulldog mix. She is just a little lovebug who gets along great with other dogs and whenever she sees someone, she wags her tail so hard that her whole rear end wiggles.

If you are interested in any of these pups, you can fill out an adoption application ahead of time at: http://www.coppersdream.org/adoption-process.html.

You can find out more, see additional photos, as well as all of our Dreamin' Pups at: http://www.coppersdream.org/dreamin-pups.html

About Our Rescue
Copper's Dream Animal Rescue focuses its work on pulling dogs from high kill shelters like Bakersfield, where 50% of the 500 new dogs taken in every week are put down. We spay and neuter these animals, get them up to date on vaccinations, and then house them until loving, permanent homes can be found. To learn more or donate, visit: www.coppersdream.org. Adoption fees vary from dog to dog and are listed on our website. We are unable to post them here per Craigslist posting policy. What does the adoption fee cover? Vaccinations, spay/neuter, usually kennel cough treatment, any other medical issues and transportation and/or boarding fees if necessary. (Owner Surrender) Rocky is a black and tan guy who is boisterous and likes to pick on his sisters. He has large paws and it looks like he has a large lower lip! (the way it is shaped. very cute). Shakira is fawn colored and is the most independent of the three and is very curious about everything. She loves to explore and play with her plush toys. Mercedes is a shy little gal who is brown with a black/darker muzzle and spaced out brindling on her body. She does love to snuggle once she warms to you. While her brother and sister is tugging and playing up a storm, she tends to sit on her own and play with her toy or watch. She does join the fray at times! The three are the cutest little siblings: they play, they fight, they snuggle. No pics at this time (no connector for my flashcard at this time.) Do refresh the page once in awhile in case pics get loaded later on.

________________________________________________
Lady - 10 month old pitbull terrier mix. (Owner Surrender) Jane is a vocal mature lady. There is a chance she may be vocal when she gets home, so she may not be best for apartment dwellers. She tends to be vocal in the kennels (as many dogs are) and also barks at water coming out of the garden spray hose as she goes to chomp on the water. She is interested in lots of smells, sights, and sounds. She loves to run around the park and also walks well onleash. There can be older kids in Jane's new home.

____________________________________________________
Buffy - #A285571 - 6 year old male Terrier Mix. Adopters should have previous dog owning experience and take him to a reward based training class. He is very good onleash. There should be no kids in Buffy's new home.

________________________________________________
Canelo - #A285229 - 4 years old male Neutered Cocker Spaniel (Owner Surrender) SPECIAL ADOPTION! - Hello, my name is Canelo and I have a deformed right front leg which was a result of my growth plates fusing earilier than they should have. I am looking for a home with people who will keep an eye on this leg and make sure I don't get sores on the bottom of the foot because of how it is bent. I am a friendly and playful dog looking for a home with people who will take care of me and keep an eye on my leg.

Canelo is a friendly affectionate guy who loves to chase his toys in the yard and sometimes fetches them for you! He walks well onleash (and I wasn't sure which leg was the one deformed because he was trotting along like any other doggie). He is a playful easygoing handsome guy. There can be children in Canelo's new home.

_______________________________________________
Nikki - #A286830 - @ 8 month old female Pitbull / Mastiff Mix. (Stray) Nikki is a bundle of energy who is ready to play. She loves to chase after balls and toys in the shelter park, occasionally fetching it back, occasionally wanting to play keepaway, and other times wanting to just lay down and chew on the thing. During walks, she is ok onleash but then pulls quite a bit when she sees another dog. Due to her strength, she will need training and boundaries to keep her happy and balanced, so a reward based training class is required to adopt her. One of her favorite things is to carry a great big squeaky toy proudly in her mouth and prance around. There can be kids 12 years and older in Nikki's new home.

_________________________________________________
Candy - #A286227 - 1.5 year old Female Chi Mix. She needs adopters who will boost her confidence and socialize her to new people, places, things, and other appropriate puppies/dogs. Working hard on this over the next few months will ensure she grows into a happy and well adjusted adult. She knows how to "Sit" for treats. She's coming out of her shell and walks really well onleash and likes to chase toys in the park. She will also need confidence building, training, and adopters who will introduce her to new people, places, and other appropriate puppies/dogs. Working on all of that over the next few months will ensure she grows up to be a happy well adjusted adult. Skittles is a happy friendly big boy who loves to play. What a big huge head and a big mouth! The better to smile and hang his tongue out. Personally, I call him "the big giant head". His favorite pasttime currently is using toys to play keepaway with the volunteers. Another game he loves is when the volunteer has two or more toys to throw so he would be constantly on the move. He is affectionate and likes to be petted and will lick your face. He's another wiggle waggle butt! He walks well onleash and does not pull. He knows "sit" and is working on "down" with treats. There can be kids 12 years and older in Skittles new family. He is now fixed.

________________________________________________
Janelle - #A285572 - 2 year old Female Pitbull Terrier. (Owner Surrender) Janelle is a friendly confident girl who is built like a tank! She will bond closely with her potential adopter. She likes to go on walks (does not seem to pull anymore) and loves to run after volunteers in the park and stick close to them. She can use reward based training to perfect her manners as she does occasionally jump up. She is a big face licker and is friendly to men and women equally. The noise of skateboards don't bother her so maybe you'd want to teach her how to ride one. ;-) She knows how to "sit" and go "down" with treats. She is now being trained to go "back" (backwards) and go "behind". She likes back scratches and head rubs and will lay in your lap at times. She has started to fetch plush toys in the yard. There can be kids 12 and older in Janelle's new home.

____________________________________________________
Gator - #A286196 - 4 1/2 month old Pitbull Terrier (Owner Surrender) Gator is a loveable snuggly puppy who already knows "Sit"! He is full of energy and life and is friendly and attentive. He loves his toys and could play with them all day so he needs adopters who are active and enjoy playing with him everyday. This is in addition to walks and training him. This is a great pup who will make a great adult if you spend the time on training and socialization now. There can be older kids in Gator's new home. Gator is not in the adoption area but IS available for adoption. I am not the original poster but I think everyone who opens up this ad, really needs to read this...

I think our society needs a huge "Wake-up" call. As a shelter manager, I am going to share a little insight with you all...a view from the inside if you will.

First off, all of you breeders/sellers should be made to work in the "back" of an animal shelter for just one day. Maybe if you saw the life drain from a few sad, lost, confused eyes, you would change your mind about breeding and selling to people you don't even know.

That puppy you just sold will most likely end up in my shelter when it's not a cute little puppy anymore. So how would you feel if you knew that there's about a 90% chance that dog will never walk out of the shelter it is going to be dumped at? Purebred or not! About 50% of all of the dogs that are "owner surrenders" or "strays", that come into my shelter are purebred dogs.

The most common excuses I hear are; "We are moving and we can't take our dog (or cat)." Really? Where are you moving too that doesn't allow pets? Or they say "The dog got bigger than we thought it would". How big did you think a German Shepherd would get? "We don't have time for her". Really? I work a 10-12 hour day and still have time for my 6 dogs! "She's tearing up our yard". How about making her a part of your family? They always tell me "We just don't want to have to stress about finding a place for her we know she'll get adopted, she's a good dog".

Odds are your pet won't get adopted & how stressful do you think being in a shelter is? Well, let me tell you, your pet has 72 hours to find a new family from the moment you drop it off. Sometimes a little longer if the shelter isn't full and your dog manages to stay completely healthy. If it sniffles, it dies. Your pet will be confined to a small run/kennel in a room with about 25 other barking or crying animals. It will have to relieve itself where it eats and sleeps. It will be depressed and it will cry constantly for the family that abandoned it. If your pet is lucky, I will have enough volunteers in that day to take him/her for a walk. If I don't, your pet won't get any attention besides having a bowl of food slid under the kennel door and the waste sprayed out of its pen with a high-powered hose. If your dog is big, black or any of the "Bully" breeds (pit bull, rottie, mastiff, etc) it was pretty much dead when you walked it through the front door.

Those dogs just don't get adopted. It doesn't matter how 'sweet' or 'well behaved' they are.

If your dog doesn't get adopted within its 72 hours and the shelter is full, it will be destroyed. If the shelter isn't full and your dog is good enough, and of a desirable enough breed it may get a stay of execution, but not for long . Most dogs get very kennel protective after about a week and are destroyed for showing aggression. Even the sweetest dogs will turn in this environment. If your pet makes it over all of those hurdles chances are it will get kennel cough or an upper respiratory infection and will be destroyed because shelters just don't have the funds to pay for even a $100 treatment.

Here's a little euthanasia 101 for those of you that have never witnessed a perfectly healthy, scared animal being "put-down".

First, your pet will be taken from its kennel on a leash. They always look like they think they are going for a walk happy, wagging their tails. Until they get to "The Room", every one of them freaks out and puts on the brakes when we get to the door. It must smell like death or they can feel the sad souls that are left in there, it's strange, but it happens with every one of them. Your dog or cat will be restrained, held down by 1 or 2 vet techs depending on the size and how freaked out they are. Then a euthanasia tech or a vet will start the process. They will find a vein in the front leg and inject a lethal dose of the "pink stuff". Hopefully your pet doesn't panic from being restrained and jerk. I've seen the needles tear out of a leg and been covered with the resulting blood and been deafened by the yelps and screams.

They all don't just "go to sleep", they spasm for a while, gasp for air and defecate on themselves.

When it all ends, your pets corpse will be stacked like firewood in a large freezer in the back with all of the other animals that were killed waiting to be picked up like garbage. What happens next? Cremated? Taken to the dump? Rendered into pet food? You'll never know and it probably won't even cross your mind. It was just an animal and you can always buy another one, right?

I hope that those of you that have read this are bawling your eyes out and can't get the pictures out of your head I deal with everyday on the way home from work.
I hate my job, I hate that it exists & I hate that it will always be there unless you people make some changes and realize that the lives you are affecting go much farther than the pets you dump at a shelter.

Between 9 and 11 MILLION animals die every year in shelters and only you can stop it. I do my best to save every life I can but rescues are always full, and there are more animals coming in everyday than there are homes.

My point to all of this DON'T BREED OR BUY WHILE SHELTER PETS DIE!

Hate me if you want to. The truth hurts and reality is what it is. I just hope I maybe changed one persons mind about breeding their dog, taking their loving pet to a shelter, or buying a dog. I hope that someone will walk into my shelter and say "I saw this and it made me want to adopt". THAT WOULD MAKE IT WORTH IT

For those of you that care--- please repost this to at least one other craiglist in another city/state. Let's see if we can get this all around the US and have an impact.

He loves attention and being around people, but his age is unknown.
The only price we're asking is a good home. If you have any question please ask!
Thanks!
I feel so sorry for Ivory poor baby had to leave one family and onto another who just wanted to use her beauty to make a buck!! I am so sorry Ivory that these low lifes who took you in as part of a family will give you up for 300.00 instead of coming up with the money they already knew that they would have to pay if they actually read their LEASE, it's probably right there in black and white, if it is not on the lease they don't even want to fight for their family member!! I am so sorry and hope the next people who buy you will treat you like family and not like property!!!!!!!!!! Shame ON YOU!!

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Hello this is Ivory. She is a pure white, 8 month old Siberian Husky/Wolf mix. She is very beautiful, very mellow, and very well behaved. She does not chew, dig, or gnaw. She is totally house trained and does perfectly well in a crate. She is utd on shots including rabies. Loves kids, cats, birds, and other dogs. She Loves Everything. She knows the commands, "sit, stay, lay down" and gives hand shakes.
We adopted her from a family that was moving to Oregan and could no longer keep her. Our landlord says in order for us to keep her we would have to pay an extra $150 on top of the months rent. After discussing it with our family we decided it would be best to rehome her to someone who can keep up with her. She is an amazing dog. We will not rehome her to just anyone. There will be a rehoming fee of $300 to ensure that she will be properly cared for and not profitted. If interested in her please let me know. Thanks

She takes one fifteen minute walk in the morning, and one at night. She's about 16 pounds, fluffy like snow, blue eyes, she has all shots and recently had her teeth done (which was necessary and now she feels SO GREAT! Snowy is healthy and lovely, and wants nothing more than a warm bed. frequent snuggles and a peaceful life with a committed companion. Poor Snowy was picked up by Petaluma Animal Control as an emaciated stray. Today, she is eating two breakfasts, taking two walks and recovering from her ordeal. Snowy lives in foster care because shelter life is too much for senior ladies like Snowy, so she's been pampered as she gets well. Snowy comes with a pink flower bed, collar and leash. Adorable Miss Molly is a one year old 6 pound Dachshund (?Doxie?) mix, possibly with Chihuahua. She is a foster dog with CARE (www.carepets.org), which means she lives in a volunteer foster home until she finds her permanent home.

It?s always great to adopt a rescue dog of any kind, but with a fostered dog you get so much more! Want to know if your new dog is REALLY housetrained? Will she chew your shoes? Throw up in the car? Is she barky? Unlike a shelter, a foster home can tell you all that and more.

So what are those answers for Molly? Well, she won?t chew your shoes or throw up in the car. Yes, she?s really housetrained (and crate trained). She is remarkably chilled out (not a barker) for such a tiny, playful dog. She loves to travel and go new places. Walking in the forest, hiking sand dunes and chasing birds at the beach are big favorites. She will cuddle for hours and just wants to be next to her person. She is super playful with little dogs and rough and tumble with big dogs when she gets to know them. She has lived happily with cats and currently lives with an 80 pound Rottie.

Molly is neutral about strangers? they are boring because they aren?t YOU and once you are her special person she loves you with all her tiny heart. She would make an easy dog for a first time owner or a great second dog.

If you would like to meet Molly, she will be at at CARE?s regular Saturday adoption fair on 7/31 from 10.30 to 12.30 at 4190 Piper Road at Saratoga Avenue in San Jose across from Helm. hi craigslist people, well i got this puppy a couple days ago from someone on craigslist and i think she was mistreated she is really skiddish with noises and when you try to take her outside to go potty because of cars or any noise outside. she also doesnt get a long with my other dog when it comes to food and attention she tries to take over the food and bites him when he comes near us because she wants all the attention.she gets along well with my 2 year old though and can get kind of skiddish around some guys people tell me its because she might have had a bad experience with men.well you see with a 2 year old and another dog i dont have the time to get her not to be skiddish whenever she hears something or when she goes in the front yard not to be nervous and try to hide all the time. she needs to go to someone who has time to teach her that everything is fine and that she is safe. she also needs someone that will be home most of the time.i am rehoming her with a rehoming fee of $75 and she will come with a leash, a harness, some clothes she has her first set of shots and if i still have her bynext sunday she will have her second set as well. she is around 4 months old and is all black with white on her chest and paws. well if she is right for you and you canspend alot of time with her send me a email and i can email you a picture only if you are serious about giving her a new home. thanks for reading my ad

Ruby is a wonderful puppy. Despite her rough beginning (details upon request), she learns quickly, trusts people implicitly, and has a sweet, even disposition. Ruby will excel at Obedience Training because she wants so much to please and food is a primary motivator for her. Ruby is socialized to other dogs, so she will love the dog park. She does NOT like cats. She will do best with children ages 10 and up. She weighs 46 pounds - a large, exuberant puppy who is still learning how to be a pet.
Ruby is spayed and vaccinated against rabies and dhlpp, housebroken and crate-trained. She always keeps her crate clean and dry. She is very comfortable riding in the car. Ruby's coat is short and her shedding has been minimal so far. She walks well on a leash and comes when she is called. She is protective but doesn't bark unnecessarily. Ruby wants to be with her person as much as possible, so a stay- or work-at-home mom and/or dad in her new family would be ideal. With her energy level, Ruby needs lots of exercise, so she'll help you stay fit!
If you think Ruby could be the dog you've been dreaming of, please respond. Ruby loves meeting new people.
ANDY faced a very scary situation, some months ago. He was in the euthanasia room and would have been euthanized if a rescue hadn't come to his aid. He has adjusted well to his foster home where he is being showered with love and attention. He is soaking up all that love. He loves his toys and is a feisty little boy when pursuing a stuffed toy.

He gets along well with other small dogs but gets a little bit of an attitude when he sees a larger dog. So, his ideal home would be with another small girl dog.

He is neutered, current on his shots and waiting to be adopted. He is being fostered in Antioch.

His foster wants him to find a home where as a small dog, he will be cherished and loved. Andy certainly deserves it.
Homer is a super sweet Russian Blue. The vet approximates his age to be about 8 years old, he was found outside near Vacaville fending for himself but has been in foster care for about 6 months. His foster mom fell in love with him right away, and was surprised how easy he is to care for, the biggest challenge has been to keep things in order so he doesn't walk into objects as much. She thought about adopting him herself, but while he is a gentle soul he does get picked on my the other cats in his foster home so might do better somewhere as an only pet - unless the other pets promise not to pick on him. He has never been aggressive, never heard him hiss. Uses the litter box no problem, he even sniffs it first to make sure it's clean enough to step in or else sits right on the edge. Super smart kitty.

He appears to have been injured which may have contributed to a detached retina in his left eye, a missing upper left canine tooth, and severe cataracts that according to the vet that are beyond repair. Despite this he is healthy, adorable, and one of the sweetest cats you will ever meet - typical of Russian Blue kitties. Once his living situation is established (he knows where food/water/litter/place to sleep is located) he is mellow and seems very content, purring often.

He is being adopted thru Cat Tales Rescue (WWW.CATALESRESCUE.ORG) **Note only 1 T**
Cat Tales is having a reduced adoption fee this weekend, since we have so many cats in foster care right now and since the bad economy there are too many other kittens waiting to get into foster homes. His adoption fee is $25 thru Monday. After Monday will be the usual rate for adults $60) He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and Frontline flea medicated. Homer would love for you to come meet him at his foster home in San Mateo.

We are finally accepting the reality that one of our cats is such that she would be so much happier in a house where she is the only cat. Yes, a place where she could truly be the princess that she is. Maybe you are that place?

She is a medium haired cat, with mainly black fur as well as a patch of brown coloring on one side. She came to us on her own, knocking on our back door every night for a fairly long while (and we couldn't help but give a survivor like her food and water.) It would seem that this was a result of either being lost from her humans, or the unfortunate possibility of her being ditched by someone moving away. When we finally did bring her into the household she was immediately declaired the favorite cat (I think it was simply that she showed her loving spirit immediately through her "kneading of the bread." :) )

The reason that we are looking for a loving home for her is that it seems to us that what she really would thrive on is being the sole cat in a caring household. And, as such, we think that it's time to find that caring household for her. And maybe that household is you.

Some things about her:

She loves to "knead the bread" as we said, taking in all the love and attention you care to give to her

She's never done any damage to any of our furniture (we DO have a cat tree for the cats to play on.)

She loves dogs, going as far as giving kisses to dog visitors we've had at the house. But the reason we would like to find her a single cat home is that she's not so fond of other cats.

Since she came from the streets, she is capable of being an outdoor cat.

She really wants to be your princess. :)

If you think she might be the cat for you, please respond to our posting. We can discuss a negotiable rehoming fee, which will be donated to petfinders in your name. But that aside, what we really hope to do is find the right home for this lovely girl. So if you feel your home is it, please let us know.

Thanks!

Looking for a new home,1

These 2 sweet dogs have been my little companions for the past several years. This little boy and girl are a joy for anyone to be be around .These dogs are very sweet, gentle, and good with children. They are in good health, and are excellent apartment dogs. They dont require excessive excersize or specialized care. The only real downfall I found was the maintainance of their grooming. They are spayed and neutered.
If you are wondering why I am having to part with my 2 friends, it is because my schedule and living arrangements have changed and i can no longer give them the time and love they deserve. Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions. I can best be reached on my mobile 415-606-0003. I ask only that any intererested parties be ready to give as much love to these little guys as they give.Thank you!
We're a local rescue group looking to find places for some semi-feral kitties who have become homeless. What we need is people who are interested in mouser or barn cats who will stay away from people but will "work" by catching mice and deterring rodents. These cats will still need shelter, a reliable supply of cat food and water from whomever can take them.
They can also be placed in a "backyard" home where they can live in someone's yard, again, receiving food and water. Such a placement would need to be able to provide the cat enough time to adjust--around two weeks--by living in a kennel so the cat could acclimate to the new environment before being turned out into an unfamiliar space.
All cats will be fixed and vaccinated before they are placed in these homes.
Please contact info@noesark.org if you can help!

Meet Faith and Frogger, two of the sweetest kitties around! Faith and Frogger were rescued from a local kill shelter and are now in need of a forever home.
The shelter realized that there was something funny with the way that Frogger walked around. It turns out he has deformed ankle joints, which simply means that he hops around like a rabbit instead of running around like a “normal” cat. Even though he has this condition, it doesn’t prevent him from running around and playing like any eight-week-old kitten.
Faith and Frogger love other kitties and love to play. Faith is incredibly affectionate and loves to be held. Frogger is virtually attached to his mom; wherever she goes, he follows close behind.
We would ideally love to find Faith and Frogger a home together because they love each other SO much. Because Faith and Frogger came in together, we couldn’t leave Faith to die simply because she isn’t special needs. Frogger still very much loves his mom, and we think it would be important for the two of them to stay together.
Can you open your home to these two special kitties?
I have had noey for almost two years. Please be advised that I do not want to give her up but, I don't have no other choice. I love her and enjoy her companionship very much. Noey is a happy, entergetic, loveable, and a very loyal dog. She has spent her life around a 10 year old and a 3 year old. However, I do not recommend she be adopted by someone with a sm child. I would perfer the person to adopt her to be female because noey seems to be more comfortable around females. Noey is potty trained for the most part (needs a little work- just make sure to let her out alot). Noey has a mind of her own and needs most of her training on comming when called. Both things should not be hard to accomplish with consistency. I'm a single mom with two kids so it is hard for me to provide that for her. Noey is a full breed Chihuahua so she is small her colors are black and white with some spots. She has had all her shots and is NOT FIXED. Her adoption Fee is $125.00 that will come with her belongins and immunization card. This is to ensure she be sent to a good home. IF interested you can email me @ trishaheitz@yahoo.com or call me @ (831) 662-2286 ask for Trisha.

Note: there should be pictures available for viewing

Why do I love Scotties and YES, even scottie mixes? Come Meet Mactavish and fall in love.... give the lad a chance? He is 8 months old, brindle in color and his mother was an AKC Scottie.

Scotties, like Scotland itself, give the lie to the notion that 'bigger is better.' Both are small yet remarkably 'large.' By our standards Scotland is tiny. In terms of land mass, it's the size of Maine. You could put four Scotlands in my state of New Mexico! And in the canine world Scotties are little guys, standing but 11 inches at the shoulder and weighing around 20 pounds. But Scotties don't know that. Full of 'piss and vinegar' Scotties have no trace of inferiority. Like their homeland, they are what Aristotle once called 'large-souled' beings, in whom size is an attitude and they are second to none.

Scottish Terrier embodies the loyalty-in-relationships I admire about the Scottish people. Neither Scots nor the terriers that bear their name are generic lovers; they're selective with their affections, and bonding for them is a profound commitment reserved for their special inner circle.

Courage is a second-name for Scotties. Often referred to as `the die-hard,' Scotties can be courageous to a fault against all odds.

ADOPTION EVENTS ARE IN DUBLIN, CA APPROX. Hello, my name is Raya,

I'm a happy, confident young cat and I'm looking for a long-term relationship (lifetime commitment to be honest). I get along with other cats, so would be happy to join a family with other pets. However, I just adore humans and would be quite content as an only cat.

I love to snuggle and just hang out with my significant other. I'm loving and affectionate but not too needy, talkative but not loud and obnoxious. I am very neat and tidy around the house. I'll never leave my little white socks on the floor and I promise I will never leave the lid off the toothpaste. I also like to play, watch birds through the window and will be happy to catch any pesky bugs that get in. Other hobbies include purring loudly and making biscuits.
I am 4 years old, neutered, microchipped and healthy. I am FIV/FeLV negative and up to date on my vaccinations. I recently had a checkup and the Doc told me I'm in great shape.

Notes from foster mom:

When Raya was found she was very sick - emaciated and badly anemic, she weighed only four and a half pounds. The vet said she should be ten pounds. After a few weeks of care at her foster home we took Raya back for a follow-up vet visit. The vet said she could hardly believe this was the same cat. Raya has reached her ideal weight and is now perfectly healthy.

This is a very affectionate kitty who runs to greet me when I come home and wastes no time in jumping on my lap whenever I sit down.
We rescued Bella from a busy supermarket parking lot, where she and her siblings were desperate for food!! She is about 11 months old, and is very sweet, affectionate and gentle. She LOVES to play with toys, but also is happy just to look out the window. She's talkative and loves to be petted, She'll run to greet you when you arrive home and will be happy to snuggle up on the bed with you at night.
Alfie and Zuzu are a dynamic duo who love one another and would like to find their forever home together. These sweet kitties were rescued from a life on the mean streets of San Francisco. They were taken to a foster home and cared for. Two of their siblings have been adopted, we are now looking for forever homes for the rest of the family.

Alfie is an almost perfect cat. He is affectionate, playful and sweet and has excellent kitty manners. He loves lap time and enjoys having his face stroked. He has that silly black-and-white-cat habit of dangling over the edge of a chair (or your lap) until he slides off!

Zuzu (also known as Twinkletoes and Tiny Girl) is a petite lady, much smaller than her brother, though that doesn't mean he always has the upper paw! Zuzu is a sweet natured girl who enjoys being petted and loves to play with a 'cat-dancer' toy or chase a laserlight 'bug'

Alfie and Zuzie are one and a half years old. They are healthy, have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for FIV/FeLV and are already microchipped.

Come and meet them and let them work their magic on you!

Foster-to-adopt (we do a month's trial to make sure all parties - human and feline - are happy with the arrangement)
$125 adoption fee (for two kitties)

For more information, please call Kate (415) 751 2343

Her name is Umie, a 10 year old German Shepherd/wolf mix.
She is very sweet, peaceful, and obedient. Shy for awhile but will warm up when she learns to trust you.

Even though a senior, she continues to enjoy her daily walks, car rides and playtime with no problem.
It is very hard to give her up because she is a terrific dog and I have had and loved her for nearly 7 years. Sadly, I don't have much time or money to care for her right now, and my living situation is cramped.

Her original owners were abusive, therefore she is still very uncomfortable and skiddish in noisy and crowded home environments (including around children and dominant pets). Yet with the love and tlc I gave her, she has become a wonderful companion.
Therefore she MUST go to a quiet, safe, and stable environment with a matured person/couple that will continue to spend time with her and give her the love she deserves.

Please reply Only if interested for more info
(There is a $70.00 rehoming fee)
Thank you

I am so sad to have to find a new home for my cats, but I have moved to a new house and the landlord won’t allow pets. My allergies have also gotten worse and I am having to keep them outside all the time, which is no fun for them – they have been both indoor/outdoor cats all their lives. Both cats are very social and well-adjusted, very loving, and easy to handle. They both have been neutered, have all their shots, and I can give you their records. (I can also give you food and the litterbox.)

Karl
Karl is a long-haired, 7 year old black cat. He is a total sweetheart, somewhat talkative, and will love you to death. He enjoys being petted and sitting with you when you’re watching TV or something like that. On the other hand, he doesn’t have that annoying habit of jumping up to your desk or table when you’re working or eating. :-) He’s very good with kids.

Karl’s only bad habit is that he will eat any other animal's food - he hasn't a clue about moderation. So, the ideal family for Karl is one who has no other cats (so he won't eat too much food and get fat). Truth is, he could stand to lose some weight, and if he is the only cat and you just put out a certain amount of food a day, he will lose it easily enough.

Henry
Henry is a medium-haired, 6 year old dark grey tabby cat. He is a total sweetheart, pretty quiet, and will also love you to death. He has the softest fur I’ve ever felt on a cat – it’s amazing. He, too, enjoys being petted and sitting with you when you’re watching TV or something like that. He’ll let you pick him up and carry him around, and once he gets to know the area, will follow you around on short walks. :-) He’s also very good with kids -- neither cat ever scratches or bites.

Henry has had other cats added to his family in the past, and so I would say, unlike a lot of other cats, he would adjust to being with another animal. Might take him some time if he comes into a home where there are already pets there, but I think he would eventually be fine.

Please give me a call if you are interested in meeting Karl or Henry and/or have any questions. I might ask for a small rehoming fee depending upon your ability to pay. Mostly, I want to make sure I find a loving family for each of them, as they are wonderful animals and deserve to be in a loving environment.

Thanks!

510 338 0918
Maya is an incredibly sweet, gorgeous Chow Chow/Golden Retreiver (?) mix. She's about 50 lbs and is a few months shy of two years old.

She is currently being fostered by a dog trainer in west Sonoma County, but the foster home has other dogs, and the foster mom is finding that Maya would be much happier in a quieter home with no other dogs. The foster mom/trainer would like to continue working with Maya on her dog-reactivity issues no matter where Maya goes to live.

Maya loves to be with her people. She loves taking walks and sniffing and hunting gophers. She is a dream dog in the house and the car--extremely mellow and non-destructive. She likes to play with her people, and enjoyed playing with a cat friend in her previous home.

A quiet, private home with no other dogs would allow Maya the peace and security to blossom into the happy dog she is meant to be. If you have such a home, please consider welcoming Maya into it, whether short- or long-term. You're sure to fall in love.
