<![CDATA[Looking for a one male actor starting out in acting to play the lead male role, age in their 20's to early 30's, perhaps needing to add something substantial to their portfolio. Or if you simply have a penchant for acting and think you have the chops to pull it off, this call sheet's for you too. This is for an unpaid project, but you'd be rightfully welcome to add the finished product to your portfolio. I have a short film I've written that I am going to film, about six pages worth, so anywhere from six to ten minutes of footage. Without going too far into it, I'm a bit of a film nut, so this will be a finished product as close to film as I can get it, not just a regular run-of-the-mill video. The lead parts will have dialogue, and some physical acting will also be needed. This is a personal project, but something that I will be taking very seriously and will therefore do my most best job at it. To show how serious I am about this, here are some of my logistics: <ul> <li>Apart from the male lead role, there is also a female lead role, and a supporting male role, both of which are already cast. <li>This will be filmed with a Canon HV40 with a 35mm DOF adapter, in native WS format, and native 24p film speed. This set-up and some post-production work should yield as close to film-look as I hope to get <li>Audio will be recorded separate from video <li>Locations are specific, and I have already arranged permission to use the locations necessary as scripted <li>Rigs will be used to aid in planned shots: tripod, steadicam, dolly and rails, etc. If needed, I have a fabricator handy to make the necessary rig I need for a shot <li>The film will be scored with original music, and I have a musician also commissioned to write the score as intended <li>Post-production work will either be done on a Mac with Final Cut, or on a PC with Adobe Premiere </ul> Shooting schedule for the principal photography will be arranged to accommodate availability of the cast and/or locations, but since this is only a short-film and I have already planned the shots, I don't foresee the shooting schedule to last more than a few hours within a day or two. However, the one main scene in a restaurant/bar can only be shot during a Monday, after 3PM. All locations will be shot around Redwood City, CA. Filming will begin as soon as this role is cast.
