I have read the crazy posts on Craigslist and to be honest, I wouldn’t touch most of them. I helped a family last year and it was a joke! Studies show a trim dog will live an average of 2 years longer compared to one who is overweight. A walk is nice to break up the day's boredom, however most dogs need a more vigorous activity to really burn off excess energy, improve endurance and reach a calm, relaxed state. Repressed energy can easily translate into anxiety issues and a chaotic household. Just like humans, some dogs may need to start with a walk/jog/walk. At the moment our sock stock is looking pretty dry. More than any other artical of clothing socks are essential for our homeless youth who spend a majority of their day on their feet. Especially as we begin to head into the wet fall, dry socks help prevent disease and fungus.
