Bad Actor Productions is responsible for past shows such as Exorcist the Musical!, which had its restaging at the Rendezvous a few years back. Seattle Gay News has said that “Bad Actor has a flair for invoking the same joy of creation/lack of pretension that gave voice to flashy, obscenely creative nihilists like the Cockettes.” The group recently produced the popular OCTV late night series at Open Circle (doing parodies of TV shows from Golden Girls to Are You Being Served? to Roseanne.). Their most recent full production was Billie Jean: the Legend, the preview video for which was a Stranger Video of the Week.

WHY: The Bad Actors will be bringing their bar theater sensibility and gender-confused casting to the table. Our attitude is that you can best make fun of something that you actually like. Spontaneous psychedelic musical numbers are always a possibility, as well!

Local community access TV show looking for someone to produce and organize the crew and production process. It is tied to our newly-developed non-profit organization. Our show is primarily geared toward providing information to distressed homeowners. We've aired seven episodes so far and are pleased with how things are going. Our crew consists of one producer, one resident expert on real estate, three hosts and four editors. We bring in other guests and look to keep things fresh and interesting. Just last week, we interviewed the executive director of a local food bank, so sometimes we will go off the beaten path.

The intern would take the reigns from me and manage the following aspects: keeping the crew organized and informed, generating show topics, helping the hosts with their scripts when needed, overseeing the filming process (usually done on Friday afternoons), compressing the files, uploading to server, coordinating with the editors to get the shows complete and then making sure the shows get delivered to the North Seattle studio in time. (If you have experience with Final Cut Pro, that's a plus).

Currently this is a non-paying internship. The possibility exists that it will become a paying position over time once the non-profit organization develops a revenue stream. That being said, I can't promise if and when it will become a paying position.

Please contact us with any further questions.

If interested in applying, please include a resume. Thank you.
