Recently we enrolled our daughter (4yrs) in preschool T – F, which leaves our son (+2.5yrs) without a playmate and our nanny with a less than full roster. Through my journey my husband and I were blessed with a son and I am taking some time off to be with him. Our son Conner is 15 months old. I am looking for children to watch in my home, I am available every day, and can start early! We live in a wonderful, smoke free, clean home and we have a large fenced yard that allows the space needed so children can work on their gross motor skills. As soon as the weather permits we will be adding a sandbox to our collection of outside toys, which is perfect sensory play as well as encourages fine motor skills through use of shovels, and buckets. We currently do music time, story time and arts and crafts throughout the week, and of course there is always free choice in my home. We live near a pond and try to find time to walk there and feed the ducks (weather permitting). I spent the last four years working at the Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) at Highline Community College campus. During my time at the ECLC I was able to acquire many books and activities for children. I worked in a 3-5 year old head start classroom where I helped plan the curriculum, encouraged arts and crafts, worked on colors, letters and social skills, along with many other educational activities that I plan to bring into my home. So if you are looking for an experienced person to watch your child I am the one. I have all documentation, can get you references, love to have fun and be silly!
