<![CDATA[So I just posted about losing a Sony walkman at the Kirkland 24 hour fitness, and it made me think about how I did an honest, but probably stupid thing, at the LA Fitness in Bellevue almost exactly a year ago. While swimming laps in their pool, I found a loose diamond in the water. What can I say, I'm attracted to shiny objects. It was a round (brilliant-cut) diamond about .5-.75 carats and must have come loose from someone's ring. I immediately turned it into the lost and found, thinking that the woman who lost it must be totally frantic and looking for it everywhere. I left my name and telephone number to be contacted when the diamond was claimed...but it never was. After weeks of checking back, and even contacting the corporate office to hear what happened to the diamond, I just met up with a brick wall. LA Fitness has clearly stated in writing all over the locker room that they are not responsible for lost or stolen items, but they sure did become attached to that diamond once I turned it in, and never got back to me about what happend to it. So, since someone has decided to do something dishonest and steal my cheap MP3 player instead of turning it into the lost and found, I'm ready for a little karmic payback. Maybe it's like paying it forward, but backwards. So if you lost your diamond, or know someone who did, or just have a membership to the Bellevue LA Fitness and want to get a free piece of bling, then go claim it. My Grandpa (who is well past super-forgetful) had taken him outside to do 'his business'.....And when Grandpa came back in-- he had forgotten he'd taken the dog out with him in the first place :( :( PLEASE RETURN HIM IF FOUND!! There's nothing more I could do to repay my grandma for all her hard work for this family than bringing home this dog that means so much to her! A thoughtful person called me yesterday to say she may have spotted Bandit last Thursday (3/11) sitting on a telephone pole wire at approximately 9th Ave S and 220th St SW in Edmonds, near the Edmonds Memorial Cemetary. Bandit is a small parrot with a variety of colors, primarily green, red, yellow, some blue.
