The fret markers were too small to see while holding the guitar, so I had them replaced with Mother of Pearl Blocks. The neck is a slim Modern "C". 9 and a half inch fret radius. Low set-up....very fast. Locking Tuners. Comes with a 250 dollar case. Case and all, this is a 2000 dollar set up,...not counting the fret markers. You can have it for $1200. Maybe a little less. Originally released as a promotional gift by Volkswagen, the garagemaster has a built in pre-amp which allows you to play it through your car speakers if your stereo has an 1/8 audio in jack. Now this means with the right adaptor from radio shack you can also play it through computer speaks or plug headphones in it. It also has a tone switch and a seperate volume switch for the preamp. You can play it passively or with the preamp through a regular guitar amp or anything you can plug an iPod into. , and the best part is the switch which increases the gain for a sweet onboard distorted sound. That's good for when you plug headphones in it or for another gain stage for added chaos. First act guitars are usually cheap but google this one , it is a very playable guitar and potential collector's item. It is a beautiful white with white pearloid pickguard and tremolo cover, maple neck with skunk stripe, The frets have a very slight amount of wear but are super bright and shiny. The guitar is almost flawless. The pickups have been upgraded with Alnico V pickups instead of the cheap ceramic ones. <![CDATA[I'm selling my Vox Valvetronix 100 watt 2x12 combo. It is a solid state/tube hybrid. It's a great amp with a ton of features, like presets geared towards specific genres (numetal, US Higain), as well as simulations of the AC15 and AC30TB amps. Along with the amp presets, the amp also has various effects which can be manipulated in all kinds of different ways. It's a very loud amp but it has a power control on the back that gives you the option of lowering the wattage level so you can still give the tube a workout at lower volumes. Overall it's in great condition with absolutely no cosmetic or mechanical flaws and included with the amp will be a handmade dolly with casters so you can roll it around instead of having to carry it around. We have a hardly ever used digital metronome/tuner which retails for $40 and is required by most band teachers. We also have a clarinet care kit which includes the "thirsty" cotton swab, mouthpiece brush, duster brush, polishing brush and cork grease all to clean and care for your clarinet. It also comes with some reed holders. We also have a box of #2 reeds with 3 reeds left in it (these boxes of 10 reeds are around $18 a box) and a box of #3 reeds with 7 reeds left in it. You will need these part way through the year. I know it costs a lot to get started with band because we did it last year and it was a lot. <![CDATA[ This is a made in Japan 'Natural Series' upper-end Takamine, -much better than the G series. It has a solid Cedar top, Koa back/sides/headstock, and the great sounding Takamine Accuracoustic preamp, the EQ sliders have LEDs so you can see your settings in the dark, but the LEDs also turn off. It does have numerous very small dings, a few scratches, and some playing wear. No breaks or cracks, and it still plays and sounds really great. I've done sound for bunch of random small bands for quite a few years, and the Takamines always struck me as the easiest acoustic electrics to get great sound out of through the PA, which is why I bought this one. If you play live and have to deal with soundguys, you want a guitar that's basically idiot-proof; just plug this into a DI with the eq flat at the soundboard and it will sound great. This guitar was just under $1,000 new. In Notch Filter mode, negative feedback will increase the depth of the notch filter making it more pronounced. *Filter Type - This control selects the basic sound of the filter. Each filter type has a unique sound. You will find situations where each one offers you a unique effect on a given signal. o The Low Pass Filter is the most commonly used filter type. This is the kind of filter you will find on vintage synths and envelope followers. It is useful for controlling the amount of harmonics or the brightness of a signal. As you sweep the frequency control, try adding some resonance to make the cutoff frequency more audible. o The High Pass Filter will roll off the bass of your signal making things sound thinner as you turn the frequency control to the right. o The Band Pass Filter acts like Wah pedal and puts a peak in the middle of your signal. This is great for highlighting certain frequency ranges or for creating a sweeping sound with the frequency knob. o The Notch Filter works the exact opposite of the Band Pass filter. Instead of a boost, it puts a notch in your signal, essentially killing a narrow frequency band. This effect often sounds like talking through a pipe. For a more dramatic Notch Filter effect use turn the Resonance control all the way counter clockwise into negative Resonance to increase the depth of the notch and the distinctiveness of the effect. It will also create unique sweeping sounds, (that are similar to a phase shifter) when used in conjunction with the LFO. For best Notch result put the Resonance knob fully counter-clockwise. *Filter Engage - This control toggles the filter on and off. When the filter is off the Filter queen circuit is bypassed. Whenever the Filter Queen is Engaged the LFO is automatically restarted. Use this feature to start long LFO sweeps on the downbeat by engaging the Filter Queen right on the top of the bar. *Filter Momentary - This switch temporarily engages the stereo filter. Try using it to tap rhythmic patterns while adjusting the frequency knob. *LFO Speed - LFO Speed controls the period of the LFO waveforms by changing the frequency of the LFO. The LFO Frequency range covers 0.05 Hz to 30 Hz for subtle to extreme effects. *LFO Depth - This controls the amount the LFO changes the filter frequency. *LFO Waveform - The LFO provides the following cyclic (or repetitive) waveforms: Sawtooth, Inverse Sawtooth, Triangle, Square Wave and Random. If you increase the LFO depth and turn the LFO speed up a bit you will be able to hear their effect on your frequency setting. The RA-50s' 'intelligent' Arranger section automatically produces a tasteful accompaniment consisting of drums, bass, and other instruments ( such as piano, percussion,and horns ) that is based on the chord you play and the music style you choose. 32 preset music styles, which each feature an additional variation, are provided. You can also choose between 'basic' or 'advanced' versions of these styles, giving you 128 ( 32 styles x 2 original / variation x 2 basic / advanced ) different accompaniment possibilities. You can add other creative variations to an arrangement using the fill in function which lets you switch smoothly between a music style or its variation after a fill in pattern is played. By pressing 'to original button', the style changes back to the original style after another fill in is played. A break function lets you stop the performance for a single measure to perform your own fill-ins in real time. To begin or complete your arrangements with a professional touch you can use the RA-50's built-in intro and ending functions. 'Chord intelligence' function allows you to play full chords with just one or two fingers. 'Chord hold' sustains a chord on the lower . 'Sync start' lets you start the performance automatically when you press a note. Eight programmable user programs are provided for creating your own customized combinations of parameters for use with different songs or arrangements. Each user program stores settings for upper and lower tones, music styles, tempo, level balance, effects and other functions, and can be accessed instantly by pressing a single button at any time during a performance. The RA-50 also provides a 'melody intelligence' function which creates block chords for accompaniment based on the melody and bass note. I recently got it restrung and touched up by Chris at The Trading Musician. It's definitely been played as there is a bit of wear, but it's structurally sound and there have never been any breaks. Chris at the TM said it probably needs a full setup at some point in the not-too-distant future (fretwork, etc.) but plays pretty damn well right now.
