It is a no shoes house and we keep it tidy and clean. We’re a four roommate house. We’re mature, friendly, intelligent, world aware/traveled, progressive, and easy going. Historically, we’ve been varied with regards to nationality, race, gender and age. We are 18/19, male, and are looking for 2 roommates (M/F) close to our age, students are a plus. We are looking for chill people that don't mind socializing in the living space, and are not party animals. We will have get-togethers on the weekends and such, but nothing that would annoy our fellow roommates. <![CDATA[Hi, My name is Meghan and I am looking for a new roommate. My boyfriend just moved back to northern California, where both of us moved from a couple months ago. I am looking for someone to help out with rent, and someone to hang with sometimes. The apartment is only a one bedroom but I think there is enough space for 2 people. I would be willing to negotiate the sleeping situation but I was thinking that I could make the living room like a studio and you could live in the bedroom or vice versa. The kitchen and the bathroom are decently sized, and there are some nice hardwood floors. My ex-boyfriend’s name is still going to be on the lease cause I am hoping not to have to break the lease or I am going to have to pay a ridiculous amount of money. The up side of that would be that you don’t have to go through a credit check, pay deposit (but would have to pay if you put a hole in the wall or something), or sign the 26 page lease that I had to sign. Please let me know if you have a problem with this, and we might be able to work something out. I am going to be attending Seattle Central in the fall, and I am hoping to find someone who is or just was a student. I was going to Humboldt State University but the cali economy is just too unstable for me, so I decided to move back to Washington. I was born in Seattle and was raised in Bellingham, WA (GO BHAM), I decided to move to Seattle to try something new and meet some new people, even though I don’t know many people yet. I was majoring in Early Childhood Development but now my major is Behavioral Sciences. Eventually, I want to become a cognitive developmental neuroscientist (I know it is a crazy long title, but I’m really not that nerdy) but I can’t afford to go to any of the universities that have good cognitive science programs yet. My interests are learning new things, hiking, running, Frisbee golf, volleyball, snowboarding, YOGA, listening to music (mostly classic rock, but I like a lot of different styles), and photography. I work at a coffee shop and help with a woman with advanced Alzheimer’s, which probably averages out to working 50hours/week, which is pretty typical for me. I have had a full time job since I was 15 and it would be cool living with someone who has the same mentality. I used to live with two girls who were 22 and 24 and so I am used to living with people that are older than me, and would actually prefer it, or at least a mature chick that is drama free. I typically am seen as one of the guys, probably because I can’t get along with girls who have too much drama. But I would really prefer to live with a woman, mainly because they can clean up after themselves and hopefully will not make any moves haha. I don’t smoke cigs, but I am definitely 420 friendly and drink occasionally. Please no hard core drug users. The apartment building is about three blocks from a bus stop and light rail station (which gets you downtown in about 10 mins). It is also super close to the red apple, library, bank, and a couple cool little places to get food. It is located in Beacon Hill but I would say that is in a relatively nice neighborhood and the people are super friendly. Rent would be 300 or 400, depending on if you wanted to live in the bedroom or make shift studio, we would split the utilizes, about $65 each (includes water, electric, gas, and internet). Our bedroom, our office and the spare room (your room). One full bathroom. One half bathroom. Living room. Dinning room. Kitchen. Basement which holds the washer and dryer and has tons of storage and our self made music room. The house is furnished, you would just need to furnish your room. Outside: There is a good sized back deck with an outdoor bar and stools. The deck is fenced. There is also a good sized back yard which is fenced. We just planted new grass in the back yard and we will be putting in raised beds for gardening and we just built an area for our 3 chickens and 1 duck. So I am asking $500 for it, plus you pay the towing. (I posted it here, as well as in the vehicles for sale section, to notify anyone who likes old vans looking for affordable "housing".) Someone who doesn't mind putting a little "elbow" grease into this baby could use it well as a space to live in temporarily if you can tow it to a place you can park it. I could see a TESC student fixing this up to save paying rent for housing and have seen worse in my college days...Right now it is not running and don't know much about it so it's being sold "AS IS" to whoever buys it to also tow it out of here, fix up, and use as hippie-style "living quarters", or for storage, or and extra space for whatever you like, or as a ride - if you can get it going. No guarantees. It's a bit musty inside and there is some rust here and there, but paint job is actually still pretty decent and it could be fixed up to be usable. There is a fridge, stove, sink, cabinets and cushioned seats, and it's very roomy inside so I could see someone might possibly be able to adapt it to live in and possibly even drive again. I am interested in getting rid of it as soon as possible and don't care to deal with it AT ALL myself as I have no time or inclination. I know that the previous owner used to drive it but it certainly isn't running now for whatever reason and I don't want to pay for a mechanic examine it.
