Medium length and long hair preferred.

BEAGLE BOOGIE BABE is the story of Joan Carson a skydiver who tragically died in a skydiving accident 30 years ago while pursing her quest for community and adventure. She was a skydiving pioneer, the first female to jump in Medford, Oregon where she became the first Beagle Boogie Babe who along with the Beagle Boogie Boys would push the envelope for risky maneuvers in the air and on the ground. She would soon catch the eye of a rival skydiver from Kalispell, Montana who was wintering over in Medford along with his Osprey Parachute Club. Joan would fall in love with him and migrate north to Montana. There she would help found Lost Prairie Skydive Center, an oasis nestled deep in the wilderness about 50 miles west of Kalispell and a beehive of skydiving activity. Joan’s dream was to live there amongst fellow skydivers. She bought twenty acres and shortly before her death moved a cabin onto the property. Unfortunately, she died while pursuing her passion and never realized her dream. She was only 30 years old. But Joan's legacy lives on. Today many of the original Osprey members still live there and Lost Prairie is one of the top five dropzones in the country. Its annual boogie is legendary, attracting skydivers from all over the country and world.

In his second feature film, Paul Gorman reconstructs Joan's past in his attempt to understand what drove her to continue skydiving after she suffered two serious accidents.

Joan was a friend of Paul's, so for him it is a personal quest to deal with a death that has haunted and perplexed him for many years. He also hopes the film will explain the mystery and events that led up to that fateful day, and provide the audience with a better understanding of why people skydive and take part in extreme sports.

No tattoos or piercings please. No skydiving required.

Please send resumes or inquiries to beagleboogiebabe@gmail.com
More information on the project is available at: http://beagleboogiebabe.blogspot.com

Filming in mid to late October
