<![CDATA[We are seeking a creative, intelligent, driven electric bass player to help create a very cool four piece black tie jazz ensemble along with outstanding keyboard & drums and fronted by an amazing female vocalist. Electric bass very much preferred as that will be more versatile, something that will be very important. Before you read any further, please understand that you MUST have a full time job and not be looking to this ensemble as a substantial part of your income. We fully intend on being paid well to perform but can’t be limited to only those performances in which that would be the case. All of us are very good musicians and looking to add someone who is into cocktail jazz but NOT elevator music. Our KB player is an exceptional soloist, however if the bass could take a solo as well and not simply lock the groove, that would be very cool. We’re looking to perform more than rehearse so this will require someone good at falling into a chart, staying inside the key and being very proficient. Experience with this type of material and also The Real Fake Book would be a huge plus. We’re not nearly as interested in who you’ve played with or how much studio experience you have as what you can bring to this ensemble.
