From what I know about blowing glass, it shouldn't be a huge job, so I hope $20 would suffice for your time & materials. My mom used to have some ornaments on her Christmas tree that broke one year. They had been imported from Italy. Each ornament was a set of three balloons in iridescent clear glass. I have scoured ebay for years, looking for identical ones, and can't find any. She still has some of the wire-stems & clips, so I thought maybe someone could make some new glass balloons to fit on top of them. The balloons are probably no bigger than 1" in diameter, and very thin and lightweight, so as to sit on top of the wire-stems. I'd be interested in getting as many as $20 could buy. These squares are then sewed into larger pieces. It's an incredible lesson and the kids get alot out of it. Unfortuantely, this year I lost my regular volunteer and since I don't know where to begin with that part of it, I need a volunteer to sew up these squares.
