During the affair she became such a liar and manipulator that she turned her grown children and mutual friends on her ex so as to justify what she did. The military guy in turn was reported to the military and the military lied and covered up the affair on several ocassions. There are many parts, twists and turns to the story such as his wife trying to commit suicide. Many other incidents occurred during the affair.
