The writer should have game writing experience working directly with a development team, excellent dialogue writing skills, and the ability to collaborate and integrate feedback from the lead game designer as well as other development team members, other shared team writers, editors, and high level external writers. The position will be involved in all aspects of the development of the story, from beginning to end, working under the Lead Game Designers. The writer may be involved with recording sessions and needs to have the ability to quickly rewrite lines. They should also have strong editing skills and the ability to give detailed, written feedback on peer writing. This position supports three game development studios based in the Seattle, WA area; Monolith Productions, Snowblind Studios and Surreal Software, but is primarily assigned to one project and development team as the key voice for high quality story and writing. The position may also require copywriting for marketing materials, trailers, and cinematics. <br><br> <b><u>Job Responsibilities:</b></u><br> <li> Create concepts, story treatments, and pitch documents for main game story and key story moments under the supervision of Lead Designer and High-level external writers. <br> <li> Write and revise game dialogue, working closely with game design team for gameplay requirements. <br> <li> Write and revise cinematic scripts, working closely with the lead game designer, the high level writer, and the cinematics department as the script is developed. <br> <li> Integrate comments from editors, designers, and development team members into various revision drafts of material, working collaboratively as a member of a team.
